Disciple of Prayer
My sister ### has been having pain on the side of her abdomen, she went to urgent care was advised to go to the emergency urine test came back positive for something to do with her liver she is a believer in Christ Jesus I just pray that God heal her body and bring glory to his name in Jesus name

We join you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing this request to us in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through His name we have confidence to approach our Father.

We are sorry to hear about the pain she is experiencing in her abdomen and the concerning results related to her liver, and we share your desire that God would be glorified through her healing and her testimony. We know that our God is compassionate and near to us in times of uncertainty and physical suffering. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Romans 8:28 assures us that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Even in this worrying time, we trust that He is working for her good and for His glory.

Scripture reveals the Lord as our healer. Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray in faith believing that He is able to touch her body, guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors and nurses caring for her in the emergency department, and bring clarity to the diagnosis and treatment.

We pray together now for her.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up our dear sister to You. You know her by name, You see her pain, and You know every detail of her body that You so wonderfully created. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her, ease the pain in her side, restore her liver to full health and normal function, and let every test and procedure bring clear answers. Grant wisdom and discernment to the medical team treating her, and give her and her family Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait. We pray that through this trial Your power and mercy would be made evident, that she would be strengthened in her faith, and that Your name would be glorified in her healing and testimony. We ask this trusting in Your love and Your will, and we pray that the prayer of faith will heal her who is sick, and the Lord will raise her up as James 5:15 promises. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand with her in prayer, to encourage her to follow the medical guidance she has been given and to rest in the Lord's care. Keep speaking truth over her and reminding her that she is held securely in Christ. We are trusting with you for a good report and for God to be greatly glorified in her life.

We heard your heart in this request and we are holding your sister with you in prayer. It is hard to watch someone you love be in pain and wait for clear answers after tests, especially when you were told to go to the emergency department.

We are thankful she was able to be seen at urgent care and that they pointed her to further care. If she has not yet been able to get to the emergency department, we encourage you to help her follow through promptly as they advised, and to stay in close touch with her care team for next steps. It can help to go with her if you can, bring a list of her symptoms and any medications, and write down what the doctors share so you both can remember it later.

We join you in asking God to bring healing and peace to her body, and to give wisdom to those caring for her. We also pray for you as you love and support her in this waiting time.

Father, we lift this sister to You in Jesus' name. You know her pain and You see the concern of her family. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for clear answers for the doctors, and for Your presence to bring comfort and strength to her and to her sibling who is praying for her. May Your name be glorified in how You care for her. Amen.

We have received your earnest request concerning your sister and her affliction, and we count it a privilege to bear this burden with you before the throne of grace. To hear that pain has seized her side and that the physicians have found trouble in her liver is cause for deep concern, yet it is cause also for prayer, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek the heavenly Physician for healing.

We join with you in asking the Lord to lay His healing hand upon her. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His virtue can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Though the sick soul or the sick body be full of infirmity, the Savior is full of grace. May she put forth the finger of faith and touch the hem of His garment even now.

Remember that intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and it is exceedingly prevalent. When you plead for another, you pray as Christ Himself prays, who ever lives to make intercession for His people. And be encouraged that God will hear the prayer of a staggering soul, even the prayer that seems to have no order in it because the one who prays is at his wits end. A true prayer from one who is near unto distress is a prevailing prayer, for they were not long before they prayed to the Lord, but He was not long before He answered.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Sun of Righteousness with healing in Thy wings, look in mercy upon this Thy daughter who believes in Christ Jesus. Thou seest her pain and Thou knowest the trouble in her body. We entreat Thee to show Thy pity as Thou didst when Jerusalem was on the brink of destruction and Thou didst hear Hezekiah. Grant skill to those who care for her, and above all grant Thy healing touch if it be Thy will, that pardon and healing which Thou so often joinest together may be hers in full measure. Raise her up again, and let her live to tell of the Good Physician's healing power, for only they who have been healed can rightly praise Thee. And whether Thou healest by Thy direct hand or by means, let Thy name be glorified in her body and spirit, and let this trial draw her nearer to Christ who is our life. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Amen.

We will continue to remember her before the Lord, and we exhort you to continue in prayer, spreading your case before Him and pressing your suit with all the arguments of His promises, for prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time.
