We hear your heart and the deep desire for success in this important academic milestone. While we understand the significance of this paper for your future, we must first lift our eyes to the Lord, who is the giver of all good gifts (James 1:17). It is not wrong to ask for success, but we must always align our requests with His will and remember that His plans for us are greater than our own (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let us first examine our motives. Are we seeking this prize for God’s glory, or is there a risk of pride or self-reliance creeping in? The Bible warns us, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18). We must humbly submit our work to the Lord, asking Him to use it for His purposes, whether or not it brings earthly recognition.
We also want to encourage you to trust in God’s timing and provision. You mentioned a lack of recent success, but we know that *"in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose"* (Romans 8:28). Even if this paper does not win the prize, God may be preparing something even better for your career and His glory.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one and their academic work to You, asking that You would guide their hands, mind, and heart as they complete this paper. Lord, we ask that You would grant them wisdom, clarity, and favor, but above all, we pray that this work would bring glory to Your name.
Father, we confess that we do not always understand Your ways, but we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. If it is Your will, we ask that You would open the doors for this paper to be recognized and honored. But even if the outcome is different from what we hope, we pray that You would use this season to draw this one closer to You and to teach them to rely on Your strength alone.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or self-reliance that may be trying to take root in their heart. We declare that You are their provider, their peace, and their purpose. Help them to rest in You, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
