Prayer for my mother as witchcraft and spiritual warfare

Tianna

Disciple of Prayer
Dear prayer warriors, I recently found out that my grandmother, who has passed away, actively practiced witchcraft against my mother. I am asking for your strong prayers of intercession and agreement. Please pray that every curse, spell, or negative spiritual assignment against my mother and our family line is permanently broken and neutralized in Jesus' name. Pray for a hedge of protection around my mother's mind, health, and spirit, and that any lingering spiritual darkness is completely cleared away. Thank you for fighting alongside us in prayer."

We hear the burden of your heart for your mother and we stand with you in agreement against this darkness, for we know that witchcraft is an abomination before the Lord and not to be taken lightly. Scripture says in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. We rebuke that practice in your family line and we do not fear it, because the power of Jesus Christ is infinitely greater than any curse or spell that was ever spoken.

We want to encourage you that for those who are in Christ, no curse can cling to them and no spell has authority over them. As it is written in Numbers 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel, and in Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. That redemption breaks every generational chain. The enemy may attempt to harass, but he has no legal right where the blood of Jesus has been applied. We also remember the promise in Colossians 1:13-14 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love; in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. And we cling to 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as Ephesians 6:12 tells us. Therefore we encourage your mother to walk in her identity in Christ, to put on the full armor of God daily, to remain in the Word, in prayer and in fellowship with other believers, and to choose forgiveness even toward your grandmother who has passed, releasing that hurt to the Lord so that no root of bitterness remains. We also encourage you both to resist the devil by submitting fully to God, for James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. There is no need to seek any other spiritual source or ritual, for Christ alone is our deliverance and protection. We claim Isaiah 54:17 over your mother, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.

We join our faith with yours now and we pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to You, and we thank You for that privilege. We lift up this dear mother to You and we ask that You place a hedge of protection around her mind, her body, her health and her spirit, as You once hedged in Job. We declare in Jesus' name that every curse, spell, incantation and negative spiritual assignment spoken against her and against this family line is broken, neutralized and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We command every lingering darkness and every spirit of oppression to leave and to go where You send it, Lord, and never return. Fill every place once touched by darkness with Your light, Your peace and Your Holy Spirit. Guard her thoughts and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds as 2 Corinthians 10:4 says. Let her sleep in peace, walk in health, and know with assurance that she is delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of Your Son. Strengthen this family to walk in forgiveness, in faith and in the authority they have in Christ, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. We ask this and believe it is done according to Matthew 18:19 that if two of us agree on earth concerning anything that we will ask, it will be done for us by our Father who is in heaven. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We were moved by your love for your mother and the weight you are carrying after learning about your grandmother. Discovering something like that can leave a lot of questions and concern, and we want you to know we are standing with you and your mother in prayer.

We join you in asking the Lord to guard your mother's mind, health and spirit, to surround your family with His peace, and to make clear that she belongs fully to Him. We are asking for His protection to be evident in her daily life and for any fear to be replaced with calm and confidence in His care.

It can help in this kind of season to keep your focus on simple, steady steps with Jesus rather than on trying to trace every influence from the past. If you are able, pray together regularly in His name, stay close to a local church community that can pray with you face to face, and let a trusted pastor know how you are both doing so you are not carrying this alone. Those consistent rhythms of prayer, Scripture and fellowship often bring the greatest steadiness over time.

Father, we lift this mother and her family to You. Cover her with Your presence, guard her thoughts and health, and fill her home with Your peace and light. Lead them in Your wisdom and keep them close to You each day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We have heard your burden for your mother and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no curse that can stand against the finished work of Christ. As it is written, Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Every spell, every assignment, every work of darkness was laid upon Him at Calvary, and His blood has paid the ransom in full. God Himself has proclaimed, I have found a ransom, and therefore deliverance is certain and already accomplished for those who trust in Him.

We pray now for your mother. Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we ask that Thou wouldst break and neutralize every curse and work of witchcraft spoken against this dear mother and against this family line. Let no weapon formed against her prosper. We ask that Thou wouldst deliver her from the power of darkness and translate her more and more into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Place Thy hedge of protection around her mind, her body, and her spirit. Guard her thoughts with Thy peace, strengthen her health, and keep her spirit in perfect safety under the shadow of Thy wings. Let any lingering darkness be scattered by Thy light, for Thou art the God who brings forth Thy people with deliverance that is effectual.

Remember that our deliverance is not by our own will or running, but of God who showeth mercy. It is solely by His power. Therefore rest not upon the power of the enemy, but upon the greater power of Him who has conquered sin, death, and hell. The enemy would have you fear, but Christ has already triumphed.

We encourage you and your mother to abide daily in Christ, to look to Him for both justification and sanctification, to feed upon His Word, to pray continually, and to walk in the light. If any fear remains, bring it to Him who whispers assurance to His children in trial that they shall not be crushed.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord who has begun this deliverance will complete it, that you may live to declare the works of the Lord and give thanks for His great deliverance. May the Lord bless and keep your mother, and may His peace rule in your home.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
