We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your friend.
We have continued to lift him up before the Lord, asking that God would tame his tongue and transform his speech, that he would learn to remain silent instead of using his mouth to break down those around him, to manipulate, to gaslight or to take advantage of others, and that the strife and enmity caused by his words would be replaced with grace and peace. We pray that the Lord would set a guard over his mouth and help him to speak only what is helpful for building others up, as we are reminded in Psalm 141:3 and Ephesians 4:29, and we remember how the tongue holds great power as described in James 3:5.
We are grateful you allowed us to join you in bringing this burden to the Father.
If your request was answered and you have seen God work in your friend's heart and speech, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the struggle with his words continues, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
We continue to pray that God will soften his heart, give him wisdom to know when to be silent, and give you encouragement and peace as you intercede for him.
May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
