Prayer for my fiancee who maybe attacked by evil spirits

Hi, I need an urgent prayer for my fiancee. After ### year I finally agreed to marry a guy who lost his wife last year due to kidney failure. He pursued me and I gave in and agreed to marry him. He was from a Hindu background and was baptized only about ### years back. We set the wedding for ### but he suddenly got TB and has been in and out of hospital. After an apostle prayed for him, it was said that someone has done black magic for his life and it will not let go till it kills him. I've fasted and prayed, he has gotten better and will be back from hospital tomorrow, however he told me that he has friends praying in Hindu temples for him and said His God is the one that saved him. I'm in a dilemma now and praying for his redemption and full acceptance of Christ. He has changed a lot and has even grown distant to me. Pls pray for him.

We lift up this urgent situation before the Lord, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. First, we must address the grave concerns in this relationship that do not align with biblical truth, for we are called to walk in obedience to Christ, not in compromise with the world or the enemy’s schemes.

It is troubling to hear that your fiancé, though baptized, still clings to Hindu practices and credits a false god for his healing. The Word of God is clear: there is **only one God**, and **salvation is found in no one else**, for there is **no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved**—that name is **Jesus Christ** (Acts 4:12). To entertain or acknowledge any other god is idolatry, which the Lord detests (Exodus 20:3-5). His friends praying in Hindu temples are invoking demonic spirits, not the one true God. This is not a matter to be taken lightly, for **what fellowship has light with darkness?** (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). A believer cannot be unequally yoked with an unbeliever, especially one who is still bound by false religions. This is a direct command from Scripture, not a suggestion.

We also note with deep concern that this relationship began while he was still grieving his late wife. While we grieve with those who grieve, the Bible warns against rushing into new commitments, especially when the heart is not fully surrendered to Christ. **A house divided cannot stand** (Mark 3:25), and a marriage built on spiritual compromise will face immense struggles. You mentioned that he has grown distant—this may be the Holy Spirit convicting him, or it may be the enemy’s work to create confusion. Either way, **we must test every spirit to see whether they are from God** (1 John 4:1), and this situation demands discernment.

As for the claims of black magic and curses, we know that **greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world** (1 John 4:4). If there are demonic attacks, they can only operate where there is an open door—often through unrepentant sin, idolatry, or unbelief. The apostle’s prayer revealed spiritual opposition, but the solution is not in fear or superstition; it is in **repentance, faith in Christ, and the authority of His name**. Jesus has **disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame** (Colossians 2:15). No curse can stand against the blood of Christ when a person is fully submitted to Him.

Now, let us pray with boldness and clarity:

**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We declare that You alone are God—there is no other. We rebuked every false god, every demonic stronghold, and every curse that has been spoken against this man. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we break every chain of idolatry, every tie to Hindu practices, and every agreement with the enemy. Lord, if there is any generational curse or spiritual attack, we command it to be broken now in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for You, Lord, are his shield and fortress.

Father, we pray for this man’s **full surrender to Christ**. Open his eyes to the truth—that salvation is in Jesus alone. Convict him deeply of his need for repentance. If he has not truly given his life to You, Lord, expose the deception and draw him into Your light. Let him **renounce every false god, every idol, and every ungodly influence** in his life. Fill him with the Holy Spirit so that he may walk in obedience and truth.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for our sister. Lord, if this relationship is not of You, give her the strength to walk away, no matter how painful. Do not let her be unequally yoked, for Your Word commands otherwise. If this man is truly Yours, then refine him, Lord, and prepare him to be a godly husband—one who leads his home in righteousness, not in spiritual compromise. But if he remains in rebellion, do not let her bind herself to him.

Father, we ask for **healing**—not just physically, but spiritually. If it is Your will, restore his health completely, but more importantly, **restore his soul**. Let him testify not of Hindu prayers, but of the **power of Jesus Christ** who saves, heals, and delivers.

We also pray for protection over our sister’s heart and mind. Guard her from emotional manipulation, from fear, and from any lie that would keep her in a place of disobedience to Your Word. Surround her with godly counsel and give her peace that surpasses understanding.

Finally, Lord, we declare that **no plan of the enemy will prevail** against Your children. We stand on Your promises, and we trust in Your sovereignty. May Your will be done in this situation—**not our will, but Yours**.

In the **powerful name of Jesus Christ**, we pray. **Amen.**

---
Our sister, we urge you to **seek the Lord earnestly** in this matter. Do not move forward with this marriage unless you see **clear, undeniable repentance and fruit of the Spirit** in this man’s life. A marriage built on anything less than **full submission to Christ** will face tremendous struggles. The Bible does not minced words: **“Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals’” (1 Corinthians 15:33).** If he continues to credit false gods or cling to Hindu practices, he is not yet ready for a Christ-centered marriage.

We also encourage you to **examine your own heart**. Why did you agree to marry a man who was not fully grounded in Christ? Was it out of pity, loneliness, or pressure? The Lord calls us to **wait on Him**, not to rush into relationships that may lead us away from His best. **“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).** His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.

If you have not already, **seek godly counsel** from a pastor or mature believers who can speak truth into this situation. And continue to **pray without ceasing**, not just for his healing, but for his **salvation and sanctification**.

Stand firm in the faith, dear sister. **The Lord is your strength and your shield.** Trust in Him alone.
