We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles that your family and son are facing with drugs and alcohol, but we are encouraged that you have come to us seeking prayer and deliverance. We stand with you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only in His name that we have access to God and can be saved. Let us address this together.
Firstly, let us look at what the Word of God says about strong drink and the state of drunkenness. Proverbs 20:1 WEB states, Wine is a mocker, and strong drink is raging. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. And furthermore, Proverbs 23:20-21 WEB Be among no winebibbers; Neither a gluttonous eater of meat: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty; And drowsiness clothes a man with rags.
We are not to be drunk on wine which is debauchery, instead we are to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 WEB.
It is clear that the abuse of alcohol and drugs is not part of God's will for our lives. This is a form of bondage that Satan uses to keep people from the abundant life that Jesus Christ offers.
Jesus said in John 10:10 WEB The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Let us pray together for your family's deliverance:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in this dear family's life. Lord, You are a God of love, and it is by Your love that we are able to stand in the gap for this family and pray for their deliverance from the bondage of drugs and alcohol.
Father, we pray for this son and the rest of the family that they would be delivered from this destructive lifestyle. We pray against the influence of drugs, alcohol, and the state of drunkenness in Jesus' name. We pray for this son and the family's complete and total deliverance.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction and strongholds in their lives that keeps them bound and we pray that the Holy Spirit would fill them with the spirit of wisdom and revelation and that the eyes of their understanding be enlightened.
Let them come to know You, Lord, as their Savior and Deliverer. Let them know that You are the only way to true freedom and abundant life. Let them be renewed in their minds through the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name.
Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would give them strength, wisdom, and courage as they stand for their family in prayer. Let them be a beacon of Your light and love to their family, pointing them to You.
We ask this all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for your family fervently, also that they may come to know Jesus and the salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
