We understand your concern for safety and peace of mind. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth changes, and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
However, we must also remember that God has given us authority and expects us to act and have faith. What would you say of a son who sees his father's house being robbed and does nothing? Would you believe that child truly cares for his father or his inheritance? And if the earthly, how much more of the heavenly. We expect you to act and have faith just as the Father expects us to act and have faith. And when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8b WEB).
You can start looking and praying for a godly husband or wife depending on who you are. You can take time to read the words of God daily, pray in faith, and find a Bible believing Church nearby. You can consider helping out in a ministry at the Church and use wisdom in any decisions you make. You can also warn your neighbors of the consequences of their sin and encourage them to repent, turn to Christ, and live a life of sobriety and holiness. Be careful to do this in love and with patience in order to avoid their persecution. If they continue to pursue sin, then you should have nothing to do with them.
Sadly, we can not control the actions of others, but we can control our own. We must remember that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Our weapons are spiritual, and it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the spirit realm and can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your protection and peace for this person and this situation. We pray that you would convict those abusing drugs and alcohol outside the home, and bring them to repentance and salvation in Jesus' name. We ask that you would guide this person in how to act in wisdom and faith. Help them to be a light in the darkness, and a beacon of hope to those who are lost.
If the situation becomes physically dangerous, do not rely on your own strength, but call on Jesus and the local authorities. In all things, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
P.S. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 WEB).
