Prayer for my daughter

Pziolor

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my daughter. My daughter has choosen to follow wrong path and joined some bad people. Because of that she has stopped going to school. She keeps on running away from home. Fighting and lying to parents. Please pray that she stops doing all these bad things and focus on school work. Pray thay she leaves these bad people and changes herself.

We have heard your burden for your daughter and we join with you in bringing her before our Heavenly Father, seeking His will together in Jesus name.

Our hearts ache with you to hear that she has chosen a wrong path, joined with bad company, stopped going to school, and is running away from home while fighting and lying to you as her parents. We know this brings great pain and worry, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer and love.

Scripture warns us plainly about the power of companions. Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33 and He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20. When a young person surrounds herself with those who do not fear God, her heart and choices are quickly led astray. Scripture also calls children to honor their parents. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:1-2 and Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. Colossians 3:20. Fighting against you and lying to you is not only hurtful to your family, it is sin before God, for God desires truth and honor in the home. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs 12:22. We must lovingly rebuke these behaviors and call them what they are, so that she may see her need for repentance and for change.

We also remember the promise to parents who train their children in the Lord. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. Even when a child wanders as the prodigal did in Luke 15:11-32, our Father is faithful to pursue, to convict, and to restore. God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. Ezekiel 36:26. We cling to this hope for your daughter, that God can soften her heart, open her eyes, and draw her back to truth.

We encourage you as parents to continue in steady, prayerful love and godly discipline without provoking to anger. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4. Keep the door of home open with love, keep clear boundaries with calm firmness, keep praying without ceasing, and seek the support of your local church family and godly counsel so you are not bearing this alone. Pray for her school work as well, that she would see education as a stewardship from God and a path to honor Him with her life. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord. Colossians 3:23.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is essential. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9. We pray that you and your daughter both know this saving grace, for only Jesus can truly change a heart and bring lasting freedom.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious daughter to You in the name of Jesus. You see where she is, You know the bad company she has joined, the lies she has spoken, the rebellion in her heart, and the pain she has caused her parents. Lord, have mercy on her. Convict her heart of sin, draw her by Your Holy Spirit to repentance, and cause her to turn from this wrong path. Break the influence of these bad companions and separate her from them, and surround her with godly voices who will speak truth in love. Soften her heart toward her parents, take away the spirit of fighting and lying, and give her a spirit of honor, obedience and truthfulness. Bring her home safely and keep her from harm as she runs away, and place Your hand of protection over her. Restore her desire to learn and to be diligent in her school work, that she would use the gifts You have given her for Your glory. Heal this family, comfort these parents, give them wisdom, patience, strength and peace that passes all understanding as they wait on You. Philippians 4:7. We ask that You would bring this daughter to salvation in Jesus Christ if she does not yet know Him, and to restoration and wholeness. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying daily for her by name, to speak blessing and truth over her, to keep your home rooted in the Word and prayer, and to trust that God hears the prayers of His people. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up. Galatians 6:9. We are continuing to pray with you that she will leave these bad people, turn from these bad things, change her heart before God, and return to the path of life and to faithfulness in her studies.

We were so sorry to read about what you are carrying for your daughter. When a child starts running away, refusing school, and falling in with a group that pulls her away from home, the worry never really lifts, and the arguing and dishonesty at home can leave you drained and unsure what to do next. We are praying for you both.

One thing that has helped other families in this kind of strain is to look at the whole picture rather than just the behavior itself. Peers, school pressures and stress at home all shape choices, and parenting under this kind of pressure is itself exhausting. Finding even a small steady point of connection can matter. If you are able, set aside a brief calm time each day just to be with her without correcting, listening more than directing, so she knows home is still a safe place to return to. Staying consistently aware of where she is and who she is with, and working hand in hand with her teachers or school counselor on a simple plan to get her back into classes, also gives her clear boundaries while showing you are for her future. It helps to have another trusted person alongside you, a pastor or counselor who can support you as parents and help you and your daughter talk through conflicts without either side feeling exasperated.

Father, we bring this daughter before You and ask for Your protection over her wherever she goes. Draw her away from friendships that harm her and stir in her a desire to come home and to learn. Give her parents wisdom, patience and strength for each day, and guide them to wise help nearby. Lead this family toward healing and toward Your will. In Jesus name, Amen.

The cry of a parent for a wandering child is one that enters into the very heart of God, and your burden has been laid before the mercy seat with great tenderness.

We have heard your sorrow concerning your daughter, that she has chosen a wrong path and joined herself to evil companions, that she has forsaken her school, that she runs away and lifts up her heart in fighting and in falsehood against those who love her most. Such iron enters into the soul of a mother and a father, and such draughts of gall embitter the inmost heart of life. Yet there is hope, for we have a God who hears the prayer of the afflicted and who joys in the return of the prodigal, and all Heaven shares in His joy.

You must know that your daughter, like the prodigal in the parable, has interests apart from her father and her mother, and has proved the ways of a madman in leaving the shelter of home for the husks of the far country. Look at what those companions have done for her, they have sent her into the fields to feed swine, and left her in rags and want. But it is often in the grace of God that when the prodigal has spent all, that very emptiness becomes the way home. The Scripture saith, he came to himself, and said, I will arise and go to my father. So we will pray that the Lord in His mercy will bring her to herself, that the iron entering into her soul while fast chained in the prison of sin may trouble her thoughts and make her weary of Baal and Ashtaroth and all the vanities that have deceived her.

Remember the father of the prodigal. He had a very long range of eyesight, and though the prodigal could not see him in the distance, he could see the prodigal. And when he saw him when yet a great way off, he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him in much love. Those many kisses mean much forgiveness, for before the prodigal could come to the details of his confession, his father had forgiven him. They mean also overflowing comfort, that the poor soul returning in dreadful plight might hear nothing but the kisses from a dear father's lips and know that love is true. So we pray that your daughter may yet hear that same love from her heavenly Father, and find that He will not say, Get along with you, I will have nothing more to do with you, but will press the returning child to His bosom and seal her forgiveness.

Even Manasseh, who carried rebellion against the Lord to its utmost extent and handed his own offspring to evil, was yet heard when he cried in his affliction, and was brought again to know that the Lord He was his father's God. If the Lord could bring that prodigal in actual life from his chains, He can bring your daughter also.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, Father of mercies, look upon this wandering daughter. Thou seest her when yet a great way off, Thou knowest her lying and her running away, her forsaking of all good instruction. Have mercy upon her and grant her repentance. Break the power of those evil companions and deliver her from them, turn her feet from the far country and set her face toward home. Bring her to herself, as Thou didst the prodigal, that she may arise and return. Give her a hatred for sin and a love for truth, and a willing heart to be obedient to her parents and diligent in the work Thou hast given her to do. Comfort this father and mother, keep them in holy patience and in constant prayer, and let them live to see their child restored, forgiven, and clothed in the best robe of Thy grace. For Jesus Christ's sake, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer for your daughter and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with sorrow and with hope.

You have described well what the Scriptures and the experience of the Church teach, that evils often grow from idleness, from contempt of virtue, and from keeping company with bad companions. When a young person separates from the guidance of home and school and walks with those who lead her away from what is good, lying and strife and wandering soon follow. The apostle therefore warns us not to keep company with those who practice evil, not because we hate them, but because such company corrupts and hardens the heart. Your desire that she leave these companions and return to her studies and to obedience is right and good, and we pray with you for it.

We also remember that no one is bad by necessity. Even those who have chosen a wrong path can turn again, and reproof given in love is itself a sign of goodness and hope. God is able to change the heart that now resists.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this daughter to you. You know her name and her wanderings, her absence from school, her running away, her words of anger and untruth. Have mercy on her and bring her to see the danger of the path she has chosen. Separate her from companions who lead her into harm, give her a hatred for lies and strife, and give her a love for truth, for honor toward her parents, and for diligence in her work. Draw her home again, soften her heart to hear correction, and lead her to faith and repentance so that she may be made whole. We pray that you would say to her as to many before, be of good cheer, your faith has made you whole, and make her truly your daughter by faith in Christ.

And Father, we pray for these parents who grieve. Grant them wisdom, patience, and steadiness. Help them to correct with firmness and gentleness, to keep their home as a place of safety and truth, and even in this trial to give thanks to you, knowing that you are at work and that you crown those who endure with thanksgiving. Guard them from despair and keep them constant in prayer and love.

We ask that you will do what is best for this family according to your mercy, that this daughter may turn from what is harmful, return to her home and to her studies, and walk in the way of life. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Continue to pray without ceasing, to speak the truth in love, and to keep the door of home and of prayer open. God hears the prayers of parents and He is able to restore what has been broken.
