We have lifted your daughter before the Lord with you, asking for His protection over her bed and His healing touch on her body, and for wisdom for you as you care for her.
You asked God to give you wisdom to take good care of her, and that is the very thing Scripture tells us to seek first. The Bible teaches that wisdom is the most important thing to pursue, more valuable than riches, and that nothing we desire can compare to it. Knowledge gives us facts, but wisdom shows us how to use what we know in the right way. Wisdom is personified in Scripture as calling out to everyone, inviting us to come and receive what she offers, and that invitation points us to the Lord Himself, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. When Solomon was given the opportunity to ask for anything, he asked for wisdom to care for the people entrusted to him, and God was pleased with that request and promised to provide not only wisdom but also what else was needed. In the same way, when you ask for wisdom to care for your daughter, you are asking according to God's heart, and He promises to give wisdom generously to those who ask.
Scripture also says that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence for Him and trust in His ways. That kind of wisdom does not come from the world. The wisdom of the world is earthly and leads to confusion, but the wisdom that comes from above is pure and brings peace and leads to a life that honors God. To love wisdom and not forsake her is to be preserved and kept by her, because true wisdom guards our path and helps us walk in what is right and good. As you continue to clean and watch over her room and do all you can in practical ways, ask the Lord to show you each step to take, whether there is something unseen that needs to be found or a need for additional help, and trust that He will make your way clear.
We have also prayed for the Lord to be a hedge of protection around her bed and to bring complete healing to the swelling from these bites. We remember how Jesus was moved with compassion when a father came for his little daughter who was at the point of death, and how He has power to heal what we cannot see or reach. He knows where the irritation is coming from and He knows every mark on her skin. We have asked Him to place His hand upon her, to bring relief from itching and swelling, to guard her sleep, and to keep every harmful thing far from her.
May the Lord grant you His wisdom and understanding, keep your daughter in His perfect care, and fill your home with His peace. We pray that He will heal her fully, protect her night after night, and give you clear discernment and confidence as you care for her in Jesus name. Amen.
