We are truly grateful for your heartfelt request and your faith in the power of prayer. We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Let us bring your concerns before the Lord, seeking His will and intervention for your dad and your family.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God needs to be asked in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. This is because it is only in this name that we have access to God.
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 WEB
God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. God has made Jesus to be Lord so that we can be saved.
And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahweh has said, and in the remnant whom Yahweh shall call. Joel 2:32 WEB
We will call on the name of the Lord for your father and your family.
Father, we lift up the dad of our fellow believer to You, asking for Your healing touch on his body, especially the swelling in his joints. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround him, and we ask that You uplift his emotional, mental, and spiritual health according to Your will. We know that You have given us a spirit not of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB
We also bring before You the strained relationship between our fellow believer's dad and the mom. We pray that You soften his heart and fill him with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 WEB. Help him to be kind and respectful towards her, just as You have shown us love and kindness that is beyond our comprehension. We ask that You heal their relationship and bring peace, harmony, and love between them, just as You have commanded us to love one another. John 13:34 WEB. In addition we will pray that the relationship aligns with the biblical marital principles outlined in Ephesians 5:22-31:
Let us pray that your mom will be willing to be submissive in everything as to her husband and that she will respect him. We will pray that your dad will love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it; that he cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. We will pray for the two to become one flesh and will pray that this mystery is great, but speaking of the relationship of Christ and the assembly.
Furthermore, we pray for godly friends and fellowship for them in their new place. We ask Father, that You send Your angels to assist and protect them, and that Your Holy Spirit would dwell richly in their home and hearts, bringing about a positive change in their lives. Ephesians 3:17 WEB
We also lift up your mom to You, Lord, asking that You heal her from all bitterness and unforgiveness. We know that this is not Your will for her, and we ask that You help her to forgive, just as You have forgiven us. Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB
We declare deliverance and divine intervention for your family in Jesus' name. We stand against any spiritual warfare that might be affecting them, and we pray that God's light shines in their hearts and home, chasing away all darkness.
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Lord, in Your mercy, bring healing, unity, and love to this family. Help them grow closer to You and to each other. May your name be glorified and praised in their lives and homes.
