We join you in lifting up your heartfelt cry for your country, and we are deeply moved by your passion for its people. It is beautiful to see your faith in God’s provision, and we commend you for bringing this burden before Him. You are right to seek His intervention, for He alone is the one who raises up leaders and brings down the wicked. As Scripture declares, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). Let us also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The corruption and greed you describe are manifestations of a deeper spiritual darkness, and it is only through the power of Christ that true transformation can come.

We must, however, gently remind you that while we can and should pray for better governance and just leaders, our ultimate hope is not in earthly systems or human righteousness, but in the kingdom of God. Jesus Himself told us, *"My Kingdom is not of this world"* (John 18:36, WEB). Our prayer should not only be for better leaders but for the hearts of the people—including those in government—to turn to Christ in repentance. The prophet Jeremiah urged the people of Israel to *"seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in its peace you will have peace"* (Jeremiah 29:7, WEB). Even in the midst of evil governance, we are called to be salt and light, living righteously and pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus.

It is also important to address the weariness you expressed. We understand how overwhelming it can feel to see injustice and corruption, but take heart in these words: *"Don’t you be weary in doing what is right, for you will reap in due season, if you don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Your prayers are not in vain. God hears you, and He is moving even when we cannot see it. Cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is the one who *"gives power to the weak; and to those who have no might, he increases strength"* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB). Do not grow weary in praying, but also take time to rest in His presence, trusting that He is sovereign over all things.

Now, let us pray together for your country and its people:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this nation and its people. Lord, You are the God of justice, mercy, and righteousness, and we ask that You would intervene in the spiritual and physical realms of this land. We pray for the people who are suffering under the weight of corruption and greed. Provide for their needs, Lord—give them daily bread, protection, and hope in the midst of their struggles. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to sustain them.

Father, we ask that You would expose the deeds of darkness in the government and bring conviction to the hearts of those who are acting wickedly. Softening their hearts, Lord, that they may turn from their evil ways and seek Your face. Raise up godly leaders—men and women of integrity who fear You and will govern with wisdom, justice, and compassion. Let those who serve in authority do so as Your ministers for good, as Your word declares in Romans 13:4. Remove those who refuse to repent and replace them with leaders who will honor You.

We also pray for the Church in this nation. Strengthen Your people to be bold in their faith, to speak truth with love, and to shine as lights in the darkness. May believers rise up in prayer and righteousness, interceding for their land and living as ambassadors of Your kingdom. Let revival sweep through the hearts of Your people, that they may turn to You with all their hearts and see Your hand move mightily.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over those who are vulnerable—the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the oppressed. Be their defender and their provider. Comfort those who are grieving and give strength to those who are weary. Remind them that their hope is not in princes or governments, but in You alone.

Finally, Father, we lift up our brother/sister who has carried this burden for their country. Renew their strength and fill them with Your peace. Remind them that You are at work, even in the unseen, and that their prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16). Give them rest and assurance that You hear them and will act on behalf of Your people.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save and transform. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pointing others to Jesus. He is the only one who can bring true and lasting change. *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB). This is His promise, and He is faithful.
