Beloved of All
I need God’s power, supernatural intervention for my first grader who still doesn’t know letter sounds, not getting any support at home to be fluent readers and be ready for second grade no one left behind, to excel when they take their second diagnostic test, in Jesus name I pray amen,

We join you in lifting up your first grade class before the throne of grace and we are encouraged that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name that power is made available to us.

We hear your heart for these little ones, your desire that none be left behind and that each child would be equipped to read fluently and be ready for second grade. The Lord sees your labor and your love for these children, and He cares deeply for them. Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. He also reminds us that whatever we do, we are to work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23, and your faithful teaching is service unto Him.

We understand the burden you carry for the student who still does not know letter sounds and for those who are not receiving support at home. Scripture tells us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. While we cannot control what happens in the home, we can trust God to be the helper where support is lacking. My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth Psalm 121:2. We also take comfort that He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29.

We pray together for supernatural intervention and for wisdom for you as their teacher. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We ask God to open the minds and memories of these children, to make the letter sounds clear and to cause reading to click in a way that only He can do, and to strengthen you with patience and endurance so that you do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up Galatians 6:9.

We pray for their second diagnostic test and for the months ahead, that God would cause them to excel beyond what natural effort alone could produce, for we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. May the Lord guide you to the right strategies and give you discernment for each child individually, for the Lord says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear teacher and every first grader in this class. Lord, You know each child by name, You know the one who is struggling with letter sounds and those who have little help at home. We ask for Your supernatural touch upon their minds, open their understanding, give them retention and fluency, and let reading become a joy and not a struggle. Father, pour out Your wisdom and strength upon their teacher, renew her daily, give her creative ways to reach each learner, and let her see fruit from her faithful sowing. We ask that You would be the support where home support is missing, and that You would draw parents to take part where possible. We commit their upcoming diagnostic test to You, and we ask that You would allow these children to show great growth, that none would be left behind but all would be ready for what is ahead. Let Your power be made perfect in weakness and let Your name be glorified in this classroom. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you for your class. We can hear how deeply you care for each child, especially that little one still waiting for those letter sounds to click, and how heavy it feels to carry their future on your shoulders with the next diagnostic coming.

It is a faithful thing you are doing, showing up every day and asking God to meet what you cannot do alone. The Lord sees both your effort and each child's unique pace, and He is not distant from the small daily work of learning to read. Your prayers matter, and so does your steady presence in that room.

One gentle next step that may help you feel less overwhelmed is to narrow your focus for the next few weeks. If you can, pick one short, playful phonics routine for five to ten minutes a day with that student or a tiny group, using the same few sounds with lots of repetition through games, songs or tracing letters. Keep a simple note of what clicks and what does not, so you have clear information to share with any reading specialist, aide or family contact who may be able to help, even in a small way. And please make sure you have someone to encourage you too, a colleague or friend to pray with and rest with.

Father, we lift this teacher and every first grader in this class to You. Give wisdom for each lesson, patience for the slow days, and joy in every small gain. Draw near to the child who is struggling and help those sounds become clear. Strengthen this teacher with rest and hope as You carry this classroom. In Jesus name, amen.

Your burden for these little ones has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

It is a tender and Christlike care which you show for your first graders, to desire not merely that they pass a test but that they be given the tools to read and to learn, and to excel for their good and for the glory of God. The Lord who said, Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, delights in such faithful labor offered to Him first of all, and He has promised that He hears the desire of the humble.

Prayer ought to be the key of the morning to open it, as well as the key of the night to close it, and what should always be associated with prayer is hope, for we hope in His Word. You have done well to turn to Him who alone can give power where our own strength fails. While struggling to bring these children forward you will discover you are unable to reach it of yourself, but He who prepares the heart is able to open the understanding and to give light even where support at home is lacking. He knows the need of each child who still stumbles over letter sounds, and He is able to do far more than we ask or think.

We pray with you now that the Lord will grant supernatural help and yet also bless the diligent use of means. May He give you wisdom to sow faithfully day by day, to choose what is helpful and to lead these little ones with patience, and may He give to each child a quickened mind to hear and retain, to know sounds and to join them, to become fluent readers ready for the work set before them. We ask that He would move upon homes where help is wanting, and that He would grant favor and progress when the second diagnostic is taken, that none may be left behind but that each may be found growing in knowledge. Above all we pray that as they learn to read, they may in time read the Word of God for themselves and find there the way of salvation through the precious blood of Jesus, by whose substitution and expiatory sacrifice alone we are saved from the guilt of the past.

Do not be discouraged. He who has begun a good work is faithful, and He measures not as man measures but as a God of grace. Continue in prayer, continue in hope, and look to Him who hears thought and desire before it becomes a word. May the Lord strengthen your hands for this good work and let His grace be manifest in your classroom, for His name's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart for your students is clear and God sees your faithful care for them. I join you in bringing this class before the Lord.

Father in heaven, we thank you for these children and for the teacher you have placed in their lives. We ask for your help and power over this classroom. Give wisdom, patience, and strength to this teacher each day, and give these first graders open minds and willing hearts to learn.

We especially lift up the child who is still struggling with letter sounds. Lord, open understanding, help the connections to be made, and provide the support that is needed both at school and at home. We pray for every student who is behind, that you would help them grow toward fluent reading and be well prepared for second grade. Let none be left behind but let each one make real progress.

We ask for your grace over the second diagnostic test, that these children would be able to show what they have learned and that their efforts would bear fruit. Above all, let them know they are loved and valued by you.

We trust them into your hands and ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your class before the Lord with such care. Your heart to see each child learn and not be left behind reflects the heart of God who hears prayer and who cares deeply for children.

I am praying with you for supernatural help for that first grader who is still struggling with letter sounds and for every student who needs to grow into fluent reading and be ready for second grade. God is able to do what we cannot do on our own, and He invites us to ask Him for wisdom and power in the classroom.

Seasons like this can feel like a test, and it is easy to wonder if God has stepped back. Scripture shows that testing is not meant to destroy but to prove and refine what is there, like silver tried by fire, so that what is genuine may be strengthened. In those moments we discover our own weakness and learn in a deeper way to rely on His strength. Your faithfulness in a difficult place, especially when support from home is lacking, is not unseen by Him. He has promised grace first, and then peace follows as we trust Him.

Bring the first and best of your labor to Him, as the first fruits belong to the Lord, and trust Him with the harvest. He can gather fruit in ways we do not expect, even as He gathered many on the day the first fruits were presented after the resurrection. He also gives resources for the calling He gives, so that we do not walk in our own strength alone.

As you continue with that child and with the whole class, may the Lord help you to be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger, with patience that looks to Him for each step. Praying that God will open understanding for letter sounds, build fluency day by day, provide what is missing at home, and give peace and clarity when the second diagnostic test is taken.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for Your power upon this teacher and upon each first grader. Touch the mind and heart of this little one who is struggling, give light for letters and sounds to become clear, and bring growth in reading. Provide encouragement and help where home support is weak, strengthen the teacher with Your grace, and let every child have opportunity to excel according to Your will. Help this class to know that they are loved and valued by You, and let their progress bring glory to You. Amen.

May the Lord encourage you as you keep sowing faithfully, and may you see His hand at work in these young lives.
