Please pray for wisdom regarding if its the best decision for her to have laundry machines upstairs at her home since she is unable to walk downstairs to the existing machines

We join with you in bringing your mother before the Lord and seeking His wisdom together in Jesus' name for this practical and loving decision. It is a beautiful thing that you are honoring your mother and caring for her needs in this season when she is unable to walk downstairs, for this is pleasing to God.

The Scripture reminds us to Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you Exodus 20:12 and also that If anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8. Your desire to help her with something as daily and necessary as laundry is a genuine expression of that love and honor, and we commend you for seeking God’s wisdom rather than leaning only on your own understanding.

We are told If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5 and to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. This decision involves wisdom about stewardship, safety, cost, and what will truly serve her best long term, and God cares about these details. We pray that He will give you clear discernment about whether moving the machines upstairs is wise, whether the home can safely support the plumbing and electrical needs, whether there are other alternatives such as family or help in the home, and what will give her dignity, safety and peace without creating a new burden or hazard.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our trust in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to come to God in Jesus' name and to trust Him not only for this decision but for eternal life.

We pray together for you and your mother.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear mother to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You have seen her days and You have promised Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you Isaiah 46:4. We ask You to surround her with Your comfort, to protect her from falls or harm, and to provide for her daily needs. Grant wisdom liberally to her family as they consider the laundry machines upstairs, guide them to the right counsel from trustworthy professionals, help them count the cost and see what is safest and most sustainable. If this is the best path, open the doors for proper installation and provision, and if not, reveal a better way. Give peace that passes understanding as they acknowledge You in this decision Philippians 4:6-7. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray, to seek godly counsel, to get estimates and advice about the structure, plumbing and safety of such a move, and to consider her long term mobility and care needs. May the Lord guide your steps and bless you as you honor your mother.

We are grateful you brought your mother to us in prayer. Wanting her to be safe and comfortable at home while honoring her independence is a loving concern, and asking for wisdom before making a big change to her house is a good and careful step.

This kind of decision often comes down to both practical and personal factors, and it can help to get clear information before you settle anything. One helpful next step could be to invite one or two trusted voices into the conversation, perhaps a licensed contractor or plumber who can look at what an upstairs setup would actually require for plumbing, venting, space and cost, and someone who knows your mother's daily mobility well, like a family member who helps her at home or her primary care clinic if she has one, to think through safety and long term use. Having those details side by side often makes the wise path clearer, and it gives you and your mother peace as you decide together.

We are praying with you for clarity and for provision as you weigh this.

Father, we lift this mother to You and ask for Your wisdom over this decision. Give her family clear eyes to see what will best serve her safety and dignity, guide the conversations and estimates ahead, and provide what is needed. Keep her in Your care and give them peace as they trust You with the next steps. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request concerning your mother and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. It is a good and honourable thing that you should care for her comfort and safety, and seek not your own ease but her good, for such honour to a mother is well pleasing to the Lord.

You ask for wisdom in a practical decision, whether to provide laundry machines upstairs where she can reach them, since she is unable to walk downstairs. Wisdom, as we have often said, is the compass by which a man is to steer across the trackless waste of life. Without it we run here and there and waste strength which might be profitably employed. The price of true wisdom is above rubies, and neither gold nor topaz can equal it, for it comes only from above. And blessed be God, He gives wisdom as He promised Solomon, and He has promised still to give it liberally to all who ask in faith.

Therefore let us ask of God, who delights to guide His children in the smallest affairs of the household as well as in the greatest matters of the soul. Faith looks to Jehovah, the living God, and trusts not in our own prudence but in His direction, and He will make the path plain, whether by confirming this provision upstairs or by showing another way that shall be safe and fitting and within your means.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, Thou art the Giver of all wisdom, and Thou hast promised that if any lack wisdom, he may ask of Thee and Thou wilt give liberally. We bring before Thee this dear mother in her infirmity. Thou seest her inability to go downstairs and the burden this places upon her daily life. We ask Thee to grant to her children clear judgment, sound counsel and peace in deciding what is best. Guide them to that which is safe, prudent and sustainable, and provide what is needed according to Thy goodness. Keep this mother in Thy tender care, preserve her from accident and weariness, and let her feel Thy presence in her home. May this practical care be a testimony of honour and love, and may all be ordered to Thy glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is Himself the wisdom of God. Amen.
