Prayer for mother

We are joining with you in lifting up your precious mother before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to touch her body and relieve her pain. We know how heavy it is to watch one we love suffer, and we are bringing her need before the Lord who sees and cares deeply for her.

We believe that God is our healer and that He has compassion on those who are hurting. Scripture reminds us of His healing power and loving kindness toward us. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Our Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He is able to bring comfort, strength and healing according to His perfect will.

Let us pray together for her.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved mother to You. You know her pain, You see every part of her body that is hurting, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her and ease her pain. Please grant her relief, restore her strength, and let Your peace rest upon her. We pray that You would give wisdom to those caring for her and comfort to her family as they trust You. We ask for Your will to be done in her life and that she would feel Your presence and love surrounding her in this time of need. We thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You hear our prayers. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord and to bring your mother before Him daily, and also to seek godly medical care as the Lord often works through the hands of physicians. James 5:14-15 reminds us, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray with confidence for your mother's healing.

We are continuing to stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring healing, comfort and renewed strength to your mother and peace to your heart as you care for her.

We are so glad you reached out about your mother. Watching someone you love hurt and not being able to take the pain away is heavy, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer.

It is a loving thing you are doing, bringing her pain before the Lord and asking others to join you. We will keep praying for her comfort, for wisdom for those caring for her, and for peace for you as you walk beside her.

If she has not had a chance to be seen for this pain recently, we gently encourage helping her connect with her doctor or care team, alongside continuing to pray. They can listen well and help sort out next steps, and you do not have to carry the worry alone.

Even small acts of presence mean a lot when someone hurts, a calm visit, helping with everyday tasks, letting her know she is not alone. And as you care for her, try to make room for rest and support for yourself too.

Father, we lift this mother to You in Jesus name. You see her body and the pain she feels, and You see her child's love for her. We ask for Your mercy and comfort over her, for Your hand on her care, and for strength and peace for this family as they trust You day by day. Amen.

Your tender care for your mother has been heard, and we join you in bringing her before the Lord who is the great Physician of both soul and body.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. How good it is that we have one to whom we may go at all times, for there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We remember also how the Lord has joined healing and pardon in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies in His own time, and even now His healing virtue works in us for health and cure.

You will remember the touching case of Peter's wife's mother, who was lying sick of a fever. The Saviour came into the house and saw her prostrate by the terrible malady. Healing must come before serving, and His ministry to her preceded her ministry to Him. He took her by the hand and lifted her up, and there was a contact established. There is healing in that blessed touch of the Incarnate Christ. So we look to Him still to lay His hand upon your dear mother.

Let us pray together for her.

O Lord our God, Feeder of sparrows and Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this mother who suffers pain in her body. Thou seest her affliction and hearest the prayer of her child. We ask Thee to lay Thy healing hand upon her, to ease her pain, to restore her strength, and to give wisdom to those who care for her. If it be Thy will, raise her up as Thou didst raise Peter's wife's mother, that she may again rise and be comforted. Above all, let her know the healing of pardon through the blood of Jesus, and the comfort of Thy presence in her sickness. Show her that Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and that Jesus our heavenly Physician is able to heal and willing to save. Let Thy will be done in her, and let Thy grace be sufficient for her, till that day when Thou shalt wipe away all tears and there shall be no more pain. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.

We will continue to remember your mother before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to grant her relief and to give you peace as you wait upon Him.

May Father God heal the pain in their mother's body, ease her suffering, and fill her with His comfort and strength, in Jesus' name, amen.
