We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for we know how heavy the fear of failure can feel when you are carrying the weight of studies and a deep desire to serve others as a nurse.
We want to encourage you that God has not given you this desire in vain and He sees your diligence and your anxiety. Scripture reminds us, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. And also, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Your fear is understandable, but we gently rebuke that fear with the truth that perfect trust in God casts out fear, and we are called to replace anxiety with prayer. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
Becoming a nurse is a noble calling to show Christlike compassion and care for those who are suffering, and God honors work done faithfully for Him. We encourage you to commit your studies to the Lord, to work heartily as for Him and not for men, Colossians 3:23, and to trust His guidance for wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We also remember the promise, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. This does not mean every path will be without difficulty, but that when we surrender our plans to Him, He will establish our steps according to His good will. Be strong and courageous, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation and for daily help. That relationship is the foundation for true peace even in the midst of exams and uncertainty.
So together we pray for you in Jesus name. Father, we lift up this dear one to You who desires to become a nurse. You know the fear in their heart about failing and the longing that everything will work out. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would calm their anxious thoughts and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant them wisdom, clarity of mind, and ability to retain what they study, and help them to be diligent and disciplined in their preparation. Strengthen them when they are weary and remind them that You are with them in every classroom, every clinical, and every exam. We pray that if it is Your will, You would open the door for them to pass nursing school and to serve others through this profession for Your glory. And above all, let Your perfect will be done in their life, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Draw them closer to Jesus and let them know the assurance of salvation and access to Your throne of grace through Him. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
