Prayer for me to a better husband and father in Jesus name

We thank you for sharing your heart with us and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus name. It blesses us to hear your desire to be a better husband and father, for this is a desire that honors God and reflects His heart for the family.
We believe marriage is a sacred and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, ordained by God, and your role within it is a high and holy calling. The Scripture calls husbands to love their wives even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25 and to live with your wife in an understanding way, giving honor to her as to the weaker vessel 1 Peter 3:7. We are also taught Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them Colossians 3:19. As a father, you are called to nurture and lead your children in the ways of the Lord. Do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4 and Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not be discouraged Colossians 3:21. To train up a child in the way he should go is a promise that when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily through prayer and His Word, to lead your home with patience, humility, gentleness and strength, and to model Christ's love through your words and actions.
We also lift up the two loved ones you mentioned who are in need of healing. We believe our God is the great Physician who still heals today. We remember the promises that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings Malachi 4:2 and that by his wounds you were healed 1 Peter 2:24. We trust in His power and mercy to touch them according to His perfect will.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace with our brother. We thank You for his humble heart that desires to grow as a godly husband and father. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, grant him wisdom beyond his own understanding, and teach him to love his wife as Christ loves the church, with sacrificial, patient and forgiving love. Help him to lead his family with strength and tenderness, to speak words that build up and not tear down, and to be an example of integrity and faith in his home. Guard his marriage and strengthen the covenant he has made, and help him to nurture his children in Your discipline and instruction so they may know You and walk in Your truth. Lord, we also lift up the two precious ones he has placed before You for healing. You know their names and their needs. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon them, restore their health, comfort them in any pain or fear, and make Your presence known to them. Let Your will be done in their lives and let this be a testimony of Your goodness and power. We pray for peace over this entire family, that Your love would abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to love and serve your family daily as unto the Lord, and to trust Him for the healing and restoration of your loved ones. The Lord is faithful and He will equip you for every good work He has called you to do.

One thing that has helped many husbands and fathers is learning to engage with heart in small, consistent ways. It is less about grand gestures and more about being fully present. Listening without trying to fix, putting the phone away for a few minutes to really look and listen, asking your wife and children what makes them feel loved and noticed. Those everyday choices build trust and closeness over time.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your longing to be a better husband and father in Jesus name is itself a gracious work of God in your soul, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer for it.
We thank God that He has put this desire within you, for He has revealed Himself as a Father, and when the Divine Father is viewed aright He becomes the object of our gratitude and love, not of dread. Our Lord Jesus has shown us the Father, and the Father Himself loves you. As you seek to reflect Him in your home, remember what is the filial fear of God, like the child's fear of his father. It is an awe which arises out of admiration of his character, an esteem which would not willingly grieve him, a quiet love that will take its shoes from its feet lest it disturb his calm. So may the Lord teach you to walk before Him in that childlike reverence, and to show that same tender, faithful love within your own household, as Christ has loved His people. He was a Husband unto His people in special love and faithfulness, communing with them and providing for them, and He calls husbands to love their wives and fathers to nurture their children in that same spirit.
We pray that the Lord will make you a man of secret prayer, pouring forth petitions as the natural outflow of your soul, not by rote or by the clock, but walking with your Father in lonely meditation and seeking His strength for each day. May He give you wisdom, patience, and tenderness, that your wife may see Christ's love in you and your children may see in you a model of the heavenly Father's goodness, and may they be drawn to forsake not their father's God.
We also lift before the throne those two dear ones you named for healing. We bring them to the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only in His fruit but in the very leaves of the tree, for the least thing about Christ is healing. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found together, and the Lord binds up the broken heart. We ask that it would please Him to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon them, to restore their bodies according to His perfect will, and above all to make them whole in soul through faith in Christ. We pray that whether His answer be speedy deliverance or sustaining grace through trial, they and you may know that He is a better Father than the best of earthly fathers, and that He will be a Father unto you.
May the Father deal with you according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We pray that He will keep you, establish your home in His fear, and let His healing leaves bring freshness and strength to all your household, for His glory.
