Please pray for my marriage. I have a lot of anxious tendencies, and I just want my husband to be comforting and patient with me. I pray that my anxieties and anxious tendencies go away, but I also pray that my husband will be comforting and patient with me during these times. I feel very hurt by some of the things he says.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage to Him. Father God, we know that You designed marriage to be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church—a bond of unity, patience, and grace. We ask that You would strengthen this union, Lord, and fill both hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Heavenly Father, we pray for this dear sister who is struggling with anxious tendencies. We know that anxiety can weigh heavily on the heart, but You tell us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, we ask that You would calm her spirit, replace her fears with Your perfect peace, and help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

We also lift up her husband, Father. We pray that You would soften his heart and help him to see the depth of her need for comfort and patience. May he be reminded of Colossians 3:19, *"Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your love, compassion, and understanding, so that he may reflect Your heart in the way he speaks and responds to his wife. Help him to be slow to anger and quick to listen, as James 1:19 instructs.

We also sense the hurt in her heart from the things he has said. Father, we ask that You would bring healing to those wounds. Help her to extend grace, even as she seeks to communicate her feelings in a way that honors You. Remind her that Your Word calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to bear with one another in patience (Colossians 3:13). Lord, we pray that their words to one another would be seasoned with grace, as Colossians 4:6 says, so that they may build each other up rather than tear one another down.

We rebuke any spirit of division, impatience, or harshness that may be at work in this marriage, in the name of Jesus. We declare that this union is covered by the blood of Christ and that the enemy has no foothold here. We pray that both husband and wife would seek You first, Lord, and that their marriage would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.

Father, we ask that You would help them to grow closer to You and to one another. May they find their strength in You, their comfort in Your Word, and their hope in Your promises. We pray that this marriage would be a light to others, showing the world the beauty of a union rooted in Christ.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
