We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for marriage, a job, and education. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that all blessings flow from God, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray for the marriage you seek. Father God, we ask that You prepare a godly spouse for this dear one, someone who loves You above all else and will cherish and honor them as Your Word commands. May their union reflect the love Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33). Lord, if there has been any ungodly relationship in the past—whether it be fornication, adultery, or any other sin—we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Help them to walk in purity, fleeing from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If the desire for marriage is rooted in loneliness or impatience, grant them contentment in You alone, knowing that Your timing is perfect.
For the job, Heavenly Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide work that not only meets their needs but also allows them to serve You with integrity and excellence. May they work as unto You, not unto men (Colossians 3:23). If there has been any dishonesty, laziness, or compromise in their work life, we repent on their behalf and ask for Your restoration.
For education, Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Guide their steps as they seek knowledge, and let all learning lead them closer to You. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). If there has been pride, distraction, or a pursuit of worldly wisdom over godly wisdom, we ask for Your correction and humility.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or unbelief that may be hindering this dear one. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every chain of generational curses, past mistakes, or ungodly soul ties that may be affecting their life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we command every obstacle to be removed, and we declare victory over their circumstances.
Father, we trust in Your promises. You said in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We hold fast to this truth, believing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait patiently on You.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
