Prayer for loved one's salvation
We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who does not yet know the saving love of Jesus Christ. Father, we know that salvation is Your work, not ours, yet we boldly ask that You would move in power to soften their heart, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them to Yourself. The Bible tells us, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44 WEB), and so we trust in Your sovereign grace to break through every barrier of unbelief, pride, or pain that keeps them from You.
Lord, we also pray for emotional healing in their life. So often, wounds of the past, rejection, betrayal, loss, or even the lies of the enemy, can harden a heart toward You. We ask that You would bind up their brokenness, replace bitterness with Your peace, and let them taste the goodness of Your love. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). May they come to know that true healing is found only in Christ, who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4-5).
We must also address a matter of great concern: if this loved one does not yet confess Jesus as Lord, they remain lost in sin, separated from You, and without hope apart from Christ. The Bible is clear: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We plead with You, Father, to awaken them to their need for a Savior. Let them see their sin, their need for forgiveness, and the glorious truth that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
We rebuke every spirit of deception, rebellion, or hardness of heart that blinds them to the truth. We declare that the god of this world has no hold over them, "For he has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love" (Colossians 1:13 WEB). We speak life over them, that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that they would run to the cross, where mercy and grace flow freely.
Father, we ask that You would surround this loved one with believers who will shine Your light, speak Your truth in love, and model the transforming power of the Gospel. Give us, as their family and friends, patience, wisdom, and boldness to share the hope we have in Christ. Help us to live in such a way that they see Jesus in us and are drawn to Him.
We also pray for protection over their mind and spirit. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard them from false teachings, worldly philosophies, and anything that would lead them astray. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we know that Your heart is for the lost. You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). So we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We will not grow weary in praying, in loving, or in believing for their salvation. We are, every one of us, by nature born blind to spiritual things, not capable of perceiving God or the way of salvation by faith until the Lord Himself opens the eyes. What you ask for this dear one is that which only Christ can do, to give sight to the blind and to turn the heart from darkness to light. We will pray that the Lord, in His sovereign mercy, will look upon this soul and speak the word that gives sight, so that what is now hidden may become clear, and they may say with joy, whereas I was blind, now I see.
There is but one way of salvation, and that is by the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, who loved and lived and died and rose again. It is not by any merit of our own, but look unto Him and be ye saved. We pray that this loved one may be brought to look to Christ alone, to trust Him simply, and to find that even the weakest who trusts Him is as safe as the strongest, for salvation is all of divine grace from first to last.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing this loved one before the throne of grace.
We pray that God in His mercy would work upon this heart, soften what is hardened, and heal what is wounded. We ask that He would grant a careful hearing of His word and a continual remembrance of it, for hearing alone is not enough for salvation, but it is the seed from which all other virtue grows. May the Lord grant fortitude to turn from evil ways, and deliverance from the care of this world and all that would choke the word.
We pray above all for salvation, which is found in Christ Jesus alone with eternal glory. There is no other savior, for God so loved the world that He gave His Son, and His death upon the cross is the salvation of the world. He died for the ungodly while we were yet sinners and enemies, to reconcile us and justify us and make us heirs of eternal life. We ask that your loved one would come to see this love, to believe on the Crucified One, and to receive the forgiveness and new life that comes only through Him.
We also pray for emotional healing, that God would bind up inward wounds and bring peace that comes from being made right with Him. As we pray for healing, we remember that true wholeness comes when the heart is restored to God.
Do not grow weary in praying and in gently speaking the truth in love. As a tree may receive many strokes before it falls, and as a physician may apply many remedies before health returns, so often God uses many prayers, many hearings of the word, and much patient love before a soul turns. Many people seek healing by chasing one emotional experience after another, thinking peace will be found in a new feeling or a new person, but those experiences fade quickly. Lasting wholeness comes only through fellowship with God. Jesus showed His power and compassion when He walked among us, cleansing the outcast, healing the sick, lifting up those weighed down in body and spirit, and He still brings that restoration today. We ask that God would heal the deep hurts of the heart and bring comfort that endures.
Remember that salvation is God's work. We are told to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, yet it is God who works within us both to give us the desire and the ability to do what pleases Him. We cannot force a response or create it through emotional pressure. Our part is to love as Christ loved us and to forgive as we have been forgiven, showing the same kindness and tenderheartedness that God has shown to us in Christ. That love is the mark by which others will know we belong to Him. As you continue to walk beside this loved one, may God give you that same love, patience, and grace, esteeming the other above yourself and serving without self seeking.
