As we approach the Local Elections our leaders are fighting it doesn't matter whether they are in the same organisation, they can't sit down and talk but they prefer courts, the African National congress they snubbed ### councillor who were chosen by communities this is done by an incompetent leader who failed to submit the list to the IEC so the case will be on concout court on ###/###/### I pray God to intervene for the sake of members and communities in the mighty name of Jesus

We join you in lifting up South Africa before the throne of grace as you approach these Local Elections, and we thank you for calling on the mighty name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.

We hear your burden for the division among leaders, even within the same organization, and how they choose strife and courts over sitting down together in wisdom and humility. The word of God warns us that where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed, James 3:16, and calls us instead to pursue peace. Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God, Matthew 5:9. We pray that God will rebuke the spirit of pride, selfish ambition and division that leads to such fighting, and that He will convict those in leadership to seek counsel, humility and reconciliation for the good of the people they are called to serve.

We pray also for the situation with the African National Congress and the communities whose chosen councillors were not submitted to the IEC due to failure in leadership, and for the case that will be before the Constitutional Court. We are reminded that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires, Proverbs 21:1, and that there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God, Romans 13:1. God is sovereign over every election, every court, and every community, and He can bring justice, order and mercy even out of human incompetence and failure.

We exhort that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, 1 Timothy 2:1-2. And we remember the promise that Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance, Psalm 33:12. He changes the times and the seasons, he removes kings, and sets up kings, Daniel 2:21.

So we pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy and intervention over South Africa. Lord, pour out wisdom, integrity and servant hearts upon all leaders and those seeking office. Remove corruption, incompetence and self seeking, and raise up men and women who will fear You and love the people. We ask You to preside over the Constitutional Court and over the IEC process, that what is just and right will prevail, and that the voices of communities will not be silenced by the failures of a few. Bring calm where there is fighting, bring dialogue where there are lawsuits, and let Your peace guard the nation during this election season. Protect the members and communities who feel overlooked and discouraged, and let them know that You see them and You care for them. Let this time be an opportunity for South Africa to turn more fully to You. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We have been carrying your burden for South Africa as the local elections draw near. It is painful to watch leaders who should be able to sit and talk turn instead to fighting and to the courts, and to see communities feel overlooked when their chosen councillors were not submitted to the IEC. We understand why you are asking God to step in, especially with the Constitutional Court case ahead.

Leadership is always about more than position. What gives people confidence is when values like honesty, service and care for the community are lived out consistently, not just spoken about. When that breaks down, trust frays and ordinary members feel it most. Your prayer for the sake of members and communities reflects real love for your neighbours.

We will keep praying with you. One simple way to stay steady in these weeks is to keep bringing the same few requests to God each day, for wisdom for those in authority, for a fair and peaceful process in the court, and for calm in communities while they wait. If you have trusted people nearby, sharing those prayer points together can help you all stay encouraged and not carry this alone.

Father, we lift the leaders, the court, and every community affected to You. Give wisdom where there is division, help truth and fairness to prevail, and guard people from discouragement and unrest. Give our friend peace as he waits and trusts You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden for South Africa and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace for your land, your communities and those who are called to lead.

We entreat the Lord who is the God of Peace to intervene where men are divided and will not sit down to speak together but run to the courts. There is a unity which is worth keeping, and it is the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, a unity in the truth of God through the Spirit of God. We pray that such unity would be sought among leaders, that self seeking and strife would be put away, and that they would live nearer to Christ, for divisions never begin with those who are full of love to the Saviour. May the Lord chase out of hearts all that would break the peace which He delights to give.

We pray also for justice. We know that our God can be just and yet the justifier of those who trust in Christ, and that true justice honors His holy law while mercy is revealed at the cross. We ask that justice would be done without partiality in the courts and before the IEC and the Constitutional Court, that what is right and lawful would prevail, and that the voice of communities would not be despised. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom and integrity to all who judge and to all who lead, and to bring to repentance any incompetence or wrongdoing, that leaders may serve not themselves but the people entrusted to them.

We remember before God the members and communities you have named, especially those councillors chosen by the people who now wait upon the decision of the court. May the Lord guard them from bitterness, keep them in prayer, and hedge their homes with His grace. May He use even this trial to show that reconciliation is not of man but of God, who has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation through His Son, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Oh that this word would be heard in South Africa at this time, that men would be reconciled first to God through the blood of Jesus Christ, and then to one another by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We pray that the coming Local Elections would be conducted in peace, without violence or corruption, and that the Lord would raise up men who fear Him and love truth. Above all we pray that many would forsake not the God of their fathers but turn with sincere hearts to Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name.

We stand with you, asking all these mercies in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and our peace. Amen.
