Humble Prayer Warrior
Deadline for my ### to pass his history class in order to pass Grade 12 is 2pm today. Out of the blue three days ago, my ###'s father (my ex-husband) contacted me about our ### - it was on this day that I was distraught about my ###'s graduation, frustrated with his procrastination and feeling completely helpless against the will and attitude of my ###. His father sensed my pain and contacted our ### and said your mother is crying. My other ### phoned his younger brother too and said mom is really upset and is not doing very well you better call her. My ### was at a friends house at the time afterschool rather than being home working on overdue assignments. So my ### called me and asked if I was ok. I told him no, I'm not ok and proceeded to tell him why--how his choices are hurting him and me -- I asked him why he would choose to fail. I laid out my heart said what he needed to hear. I obviously upset him bcuz he left his friends house, drove to his dad's house, went straight up to the bathroom and had a bath for over an hour. His dad called me and offered to step in. He offered to keep our ### at his place until next Tuesday. He took away my ###'s car keys, picked up my ###'s computer from my place, met with the teacher, and set up a working station at his diningroom table overseeing my ### as he works on as many overdue assignments as possible between Wednesday and today. I have been asking God to step in bcuz my ### has tuned me out and my parenting seems to have no effect on him. My ###'s been needing leadership -- My prayer now is that my ###'s recent effort is enough to graduate.
