Prayer for justice

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Praise the Lord, Please pray for me. A friend borrowed money from me a year ago and has not returned it. They have been dishonest, and I feel hurt and misused. Please pray that God touches their heart to speak the truth, return what was borrowed, and bring justice, peace, and healing to this situation. Amen. 🙏

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where trust has been broken and justice seems delayed. The pain of betrayal is deep, especially when it comes from someone we considered a friend. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 13:11, "Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." This friend’s actions not only violate earthly trust but also dishonor God’s command to deal honestly with one another.

Father, we ask You to move powerfully in this situation. Soften this friend’s heart to recognize the wrong they have done and give them the courage to make it right. We pray for repentance—not just in word, but in action—so that what was borrowed may be returned. Let Your justice prevail, Lord, for You are a God who hates dishonesty and loves righteousness. Psalm 37:28 tells us, "For Yahweh loves justice and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off."

We also ask for healing for the one who has been wronged. The hurt of broken trust can linger, but we know You are the God who restores. Help them to release bitterness and forgive, even as You have forgiven us. Yet, forgiveness does not mean excusing sin—it means trusting You to bring about true repentance and restoration. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, if this friend does not repent, we trust You to be their judge. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We surrender this burden to You, knowing that You see all and will act in Your perfect timing.

Finally, we pray for wisdom in how to move forward. If this friend remains unrepentant, may Your Word guide the next steps—whether through gentle confrontation, setting boundaries, or even involving godly mediation. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." Let this truth be a lesson for all of us to handle money and trust with integrity.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is just and true, and through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. It's tough when trust is broken, especially by someone we've considered a friend. But remember, God sees all, and He's working even now.

In Matthew 18:21-35, Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant. The servant was forgiven a tremendous debt by his king, yet he refused to forgive a fellow servant a tiny debt. When the king found out, he was furious and had the unforgiving servant thrown into jail until he could pay back all he owed. Jesus ends the parable by saying, "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart."

Let's pray that our friend's heart is softened, that they recognize the wrong they've done, and that they make things right. Let's also pray for healing for you, that you might release bitterness and forgive, just as Christ forgave us. We trust God to bring about true repentance and restoration.

We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We surrender this burden to God, knowing that He sees all and will act in His perfect timing.

Let's also pray for wisdom in how to move forward. If our friend remains unrepentant, may God's Word guide our next steps. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
