Disciple of Prayer
Hello friends! I have requested prayer on this many times before. I had a friend who I treated like a brother. I gave him clothes, food, countless love and support and he betrayed me in the worst possible way. He turned against me and even threatened to cut me with a knife. He is cold, has no accountability for his actions, and is now trying to turn other people against me. I was nothing but a loving Christian brother to him. I can't explain the depth of the hurt and loss and betrayal that I feel. This cuts me very deeply beyond what words can express. I'm deeply grieving and in a lot of pain and this person has no accountability or emotion for his cold and callous actions. I don't exactly know what I'm asking prayer for. Just that God will convict him and make him accountable for his actions and that He will intervene and bring justice and make this situation right. I feel powerless. I just want God to make this person accountable for his actions. I feel dumb for showing this person so much love and kindness. I try to be a good Christian and no matter how much I pray about it, nothing changes. I need prayer that I can let go of the situation and surrender the control to God so that He can do his wonders. Because only God knows what to do. I just ask for God's divine intervention in this very hurtful and seemingly impossible situation that I'm facing. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

We hear the deep pain and betrayal in your heart, and we grieve with you over the wound this person has inflicted. The hurt you feel is real, and it is right to bring it before the Lord, for He is the God of all justice and comfort. You have shown Christlike love and kindness, and it is heartbreaking when such love is met with cruelty and ingratitude. But let us remind you that your labor in love was not in vain, for the Lord sees all things, and He will repay. As it is written in Romans 12:19-21, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*

Your desire for justice is righteous, for God Himself is just. Yet we must also surrender our pain to Him, trusting that His timing and His ways are perfect. The betrayal you have experienced is not unlike what our Savior faced—Judas, one of His own, betrayed Him with a kiss, and Peter denied Him three times. Yet Jesus, in His sovereignty, still used these acts for His divine purpose. Your pain is not wasted; God can redeem it for His glory and your growth in faith.

We also sense a struggle in your words—a feeling of foolishness for loving so deeply. But let us correct this thought gently: love is never foolish when it reflects the heart of Christ. You loved as He commands, and that is never in vain. However, we must also remember that our love should be wise, discerning, and guarded by the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 4:23 warns, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Even in our love for others, we must remain rooted in Christ, allowing Him to guide our steps and protect our hearts.

As for this man who has wronged you, we pray that the Lord would break through his hardness of heart. His actions reveal a spirit of rebellion and unrepentance, and we must pray that God would convict him deeply. Ezekiel 36:26 says, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Only the Lord can soften a heart of stone, and we cry out for this transformation in his life—for his own sake and for the sake of those he may harm.

Yet we must also pray for you, dear brother, that the Lord would heal your wounds and restore your trust in His goodness. The pain of betrayal can make us bitter or better—it can drive us to despair or deeper into the arms of Jesus. We urge you to release this burden fully into the hands of the Father. Psalm 55:22 says, *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* You are not powerless, for the power of Christ rests upon you. Your surrender is not weakness; it is the greatest strength, for it acknowledges that God’s ways are higher than ours.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with our brother, who carries the heavy weight of betrayal and deep sorrow. Lord, You see the wounds inflicted upon him—wounds that cut to the soul. We ask that You would bind up his broken heart and minister to him with Your healing balm. Comfort him as only You can, reminding him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.

Lord, we lift up this man who has betrayed our brother. His actions are grievous, and his heart is hardened. We pray that You would convict him deeply of his sin, that he may come to repentance and turn from his wicked ways. Soften his heart, Lord, and break through the callousness that has taken root. Let him see the gravity of his actions and the pain he has caused. Bring him to a place of true accountability before You, that he may seek forgiveness and make restitution where possible.

Father, we also ask for justice. You are a God who loves justice, and You will not allow the wicked to go unpunished forever. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You will make all things right. Give our brother the strength to release this situation into Your hands, to surrender his desire for vengeance, and to trust in Your perfect justice.

Lord, guard his heart from bitterness and resentment. Fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help him to forgive, not because this man deserves it, but because You have forgiven us so much. Remind him that forgiveness does not excuse the sin, but it frees him from the bondage of anger and pain.

We pray that You would use this trial to draw our brother closer to You. Let him find his identity and worth in Christ alone, not in the approval or betrayal of man. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him see Your hand at work in this situation. Give him wisdom in how to move forward, and surround him with godly brothers and sisters who can support and encourage him.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would redeem this pain for Your glory. Use it to shape our brother into the image of Christ, to deepen his dependence on You, and to equip him to minister to others who have experienced similar betrayal. Let him emerge from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who was betrayed for our sake and yet triumphed over sin and death. Amen.

Dear friend, we hear your cry for justice and we stand with you in prayer. We understand the depth of pain and betrayal you're feeling, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're here, lifting you up before the Lord, interceding on your behalf.

We pray that God would move in the heart of the person who has wronged you. We ask that He would soften their heart, open their eyes to the gravity of their actions, and bring them to a place of true repentance and accountability. We trust that God, who sees all things, will make all things right in His perfect timing.

But we also want to encourage you, dear brother. You've shown such love and kindness, and that is never in vain. God sees your heart, and He will repay. We pray that you would find comfort in His embrace, and that He would heal your wounds and restore your trust in His goodness.

We urge you to release this burden fully into the hands of the Father. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. Trust that His ways are perfect, and that He will work all things together for your good and His glory.

Let's continue to pray together, trusting in the power of our united cries before the throne of grace.

"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you," 1 Peter 4:12-14. I can't say it better or more clearly -- Jesus Himself taught persecution for His Name is a reality we sign up for when we opt for Him and Eternal Life. John 3:16 really only promises us that, as that is enough in itself. Praying for strength to bear up under this, and that it will prepare you for times ahead, in Jesus' Name...

"But watch yourselves, or your hearts will be weighed down by dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life—and that day will spring upon you suddenly like a snare. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of all the earth. 36 So keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man,” Luke 21:35.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
