We are lifting you and your family up together before the throne of grace and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear how heavy this season has been as you and your husband strive to provide for your household and care for your little one, and we rejoice with you that even in hardship you are declaring that God is still good. That is a beautiful testimony of faith.
We want to gently encourage you about something we noticed. You spoke of God and the LORD, which we love to hear, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name. It is in Jesus name that we pray and find our hope renewed, as Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
We are so encouraged by your desire to honor your marriage and to be a present mother to your baby while also helping your husband provide for your household. This is a noble and biblical calling. God delights in marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and He calls wives and mothers to care diligently for their homes, as Proverbs 31:27 says, She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness. Your desire to work from home so you can nurture your child while supporting your husband is pleasing to the Lord, and your willingness to work with your hands through your cleaning business is also honorable, for 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 encourages us to work with our own hands.
We understand how discouraging it is to send out many applications and hear nothing back, and to feel down while waiting on the Lord's provision. Please be encouraged that God sees your diligence and your needs. Philippians 4:19 promises, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:33 reminds us, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. When you feel overwhelmed or low, remember Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He also says in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We join our faith with yours for the Lord to open the right doors in His perfect timing, whether that is the reinstating of your former position or another similar work from home provision that allows you to care for your baby, and for Him to bring clients to your cleaning business as He establishes the work of your hands.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our sister, her husband, and their baby. Lord, You know their financial needs and the burden they feel trying to afford even basic necessities. We ask You to provide for them according to Your riches in glory and to show Yourself as their refuge and strength. We pray for renewed hope and peace for our sister who feels so down. Lift her heart, Lord, and guard her heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding as described in Philippians 4:7. Comfort her and remind her that You are near and that You work all things together for good for those who love You as Romans 8:28 promises.
Father, we ask for Your will to be done regarding employment. If it is Your will, open the door for her former position to be reinstated or provide a similar position where she can work from home and be a present mother. Give favor with employers and bring the callback in Your timing. Bless also the work of her hands in her cleaning business. As Deuteronomy 8:18 says You give power to get wealth, we ask You to establish her business, bring trustworthy clients, and let her work be a testimony of diligence and integrity. Provide for her husband as he leads and provides for the household, and strengthen their marriage and their family in You. Heal her fully from her medical issues and give her strength for each day. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope. Amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer in Jesus name, to keep doing good and diligent work while you wait, and to trust in His timing. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Keep casting your cares on Him, and keep thanking Him as you wait, as Philippians 4:6 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We are standing with you and believing God will supply and renew your hope.
