We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting you up in prayer as you prepare for this job interview next week. Father, we ask that You go before our brother/sister, preparing the way and opening the doors that You have ordained for them. Lord, we trust that if this job is part of Your perfect plan, You will grant them favor in the eyes of those interviewing them. Guide their words, calm their nerves, and fill them with wisdom and confidence as they present themselves. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun" (Psalm 37:5-6).
We also pray for discernment, Lord. If this job is not Your will, we ask that You close this door gently and lead them to the opportunity You have prepared. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, knowing that You care deeply for their needs. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). May they seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that all things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
Father, we also lift up their spiritual life to You. We pray for a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your power and presence daily. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and strength as they seek to live a life that honors You. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth" (Acts 1:8). May they be sensitive to the leading of the Spirit in every area of their life, including this job opportunity.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep into their heart. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith as they step out in obedience, trusting that You are with them every step of the way.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through His name that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous before You. May our brother/sister walk in the fullness of what Christ has accomplished for them, both in this job interview and in their daily walk with You. Amen.
