Prayer for Job and Safety

Srilaxmi

Humble Servant
Please pray for me as I have exam on ### for job purpose. Today evening i am going to ### from ### along with my husband and younger son. So please pray for my safe journey in train and also to get seats as we don't have reservation and return safely.

We are leaving our elder son ### with our in-laws as he is having school and cricket coaching, so please pray for him to stay safely till we return and also pray for me to perform well in the exam to get the job. In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray. Amen.

We lift you up before the Lord with grateful hearts, for you have come to Him in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging His sovereignty over every aspect of your life. Father, we thank You for this sister in Christ and her family, and we ask that You would go before them in every detail of this journey.

Lord, we pray for safe travels as they make their way by train. You are the God who commands angels concerning us, and we ask that You would surround them with Your heavenly protection. "For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won’t strike your foot against a stone" (Psalm 91:11-12). We declare that every step they take will be ordered by You, and we rebuke any danger or harm that may seek to come near them. Father, we also ask that You would provide them with seats, for You know their need for rest and comfort. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness.

We pray for your elder son, Lord, as he stays with his grandparents. Keep him safe under Your watchful eye, and grant him peace and joy in their care. May he feel Your presence even in the absence of his parents, and may he excel in his studies and cricket coaching, using the talents You have given him for Your glory.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would calm this sister’s heart as she prepares for her exam. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and grant her clarity of mind and wisdom. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it shall be given to him" (James 1:5). We declare that she will perform well, not by her own strength, but by the power of Your Spirit working within her. May this opportunity align with Your perfect will for her life, and may she bring honor to Your name through her efforts.

Lord, we also lift up this job opportunity before You. May it be a door that You have opened, and may she walk through it with confidence, knowing that You have prepared it for her. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). If this job is not in Your will, we ask that You would close the door gently and guide her to the path You have prepared.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may seek to hinder her faith. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that she will walk in the confidence of Your promises, trusting in Your unfailing love.

Father, we thank You for the blessing of marriage and family, as You have ordained. We pray that this sister and her husband would continue to grow in unity, love, and mutual respect, honoring You in their relationship. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and godly influence for their children.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through His blood that we are made righteous. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and we are eternally grateful for the gift of salvation through faith in Him (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in every detail of this situation, and may Your name be glorified.

Amen.

We know that anxious mix of preparation, travel logistics, and leaving a child behind. It takes courage to step into this exam knowing a job and your family’s future are on your heart, and we’re grateful you reached out. You’ve done what you can: you’ve planned, you’ve arranged care for your older son, and now you’re placing the rest in God’s hands. That’s not small.

As you board the train, maybe take a quiet moment with your husband to name one thing you’re each thankful for and then whisper a short prayer together, even if it’s just a few words. That simple habit can steady all three of you when everything feels unsettled. And while you wait to see about seats, remember that this journey is already held, whether you find a spot by the window or have to stand for a while.

For your son back home, the fact that you’re thinking of him so thoughtfully already tells us he’s loved and secure. Trust that the ordinary routines of school and cricket practice are also places God is watching over him through the people around him.

We’ll be praying with you, for safety, for a clear mind during the exam, and for peace that lasts through the waiting.

Father, thank you for this family’s courage and care for one another. Watch over their journey, give them safe travel and a smooth return. Keep their older son protected and joyful in the days apart. In the exam room, calm any racing thoughts and bring to mind what has been studied. We ask for favor according to your will, and we trust your provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have a great many things upon your heart just now, the journey, the examination, the son you are taking with you, and the dear boy you are leaving behind. It is no small thing for a mother’s heart to be divided in this way, one piece of it in a railway carriage and another piece in a house with the grandparents. But I want you to remember that the Lord who numbers the hairs of your head has no trouble counting the members of your family. His care is not so limited that He can only be in one place at a time. The Shepherd who gathers the lambs in His arms can hold your younger son on a train and your elder son at his cricket coaching with the same unstrained tenderness.

You are anxious about the seats on the train. I understand that entirely. It is a small matter in the grand scheme of things, and yet it is no small matter at all when you are the one standing in the aisle with a child clinging to your skirt. But our God is famous for making a way where there is no way, for opening a table in the wilderness when there is nothing but sand. He who divided a channel for the overflowing water can certainly find you a place to sit. I would not be surprised if you were to write to me afterwards and say that the carriage was strangely empty, or that a stranger moved along at just the right moment. That is His way. He loves to do little kindnesses for His children, love-tokens that seem small to others but are immense to the heart that receives them. He knows what a weary body feels like after a long day, and He is not indifferent to it.

And the examination, you are fretting about whether you will perform well. Let me speak plainly to you now. You are not going into that room alone. The Lord Jesus Christ, who calmed the raging sea with a word, is able to calm the storm of a troubled mind. When your thoughts feel scattered and your memory seems a sieve, He can step into the vessel of your soul and say, “Peace, be still.” Your preparation matters, and I am sure you have done what you could, but your trust must not rest finally on your own readiness. Rest it on the One who gives wisdom liberally without finding fault. If He wants you to have this position, no examiner will be able to keep you from it. And if He does not want you to have it, it is only because something better waits for you in another place. Even those words spoken beyond your own knowledge, as Job found, can be ordered by God.

I know a minister who on a dark night was walking home with a heavy heart and he took his little girl by the hand. She could see nothing, but she said, “Father, you know the way.” And that is the whole of it, isn’t it? You are walking a path you cannot see, but your Father knows the way. The train line, the examination hall, the house where your eldest boy sleeps tonight, He knows every inch of it. Night is the season when fears multiply, but even night has its songs. You may not hear the music yet, but the promise is sure: “God gives songs in the night.” Listen for it. Perhaps it will come as a quiet confidence stealing over you, a peace that passes understanding.

Let me speak a word about your elder son. You are leaving him, and a mother’s mind can paint a thousand frightful pictures in the space of a minute. But what did the Lord Jesus say to Peter? “I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.” Do you think He prays less for your son? The boy is in hands that cannot drop him. You have done a right and necessary thing, and you may cast this care upon the Lord, for He cares for you, and for him. His angels are not on holiday because you have gone to another city. The hedge of protection is not taken down because you are not there to see it.

Now, I want you to step into this business with a quiet heart. You are not trusting in a God who may be kind, or who might possibly help if He is in the right mood. No, blessed be His name, you are trusting in the God who gave His Son to bleed and die for you. Having given you Christ, will He not freely give you all these smaller things? He has already made the greater sacrifice; the lesser mercies will surely follow. The love-letter of the Gospel came to you in a black-edged envelope, with news of a death that brought you life. And the same handwriting that wrote your pardon will guide your steps.

Approach the journey, the exam, the parting, and the reunion with this confidence: He is faithful who promised. Not a hair of your head shall perish. In patience you will possess your soul.

Father, into Your hands we commit this dear one and all that concerns her. Guard the boy at home; hold him as safely as though Your own nail-scarred hand were upon his shoulder. Ride with this family in their carriage; be their unseen companion, their peace and their shield. Calm the anxious heart as the exam paper lies before her; let the mind be clear, the memory quick, and the spirit steady. And bring them all back together again, full of gratitude, with joyful tales of Your goodness. We ask it in the name of Jesus, our Lord and our unfailing friend. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this important time. We have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to guide you through your exam, grant you favor in securing this job, and surround you and your family with His protection and peace.

We prayed for safe travels for you, your husband, and your younger son—asking God to provide seats on the train and to bring you all home safely. We also asked the Lord to watch over your elder son while he stays with your in-laws, keeping him safe and at peace until your return. Most of all, we prayed for wisdom, clarity, and confidence as you took your exam, trusting that God would equip you with everything you need to succeed.

If the Lord has already answered these prayers—whether through a smooth journey, a successful exam, or the provision of this job—we would love to hear your praise report! Your testimony will encourage others and bring glory to God. If, however, you’re still waiting on the Lord’s timing, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to stand with you in faith, believing that God is working even when we can’t yet see it.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Him as you seek His will in every area of your life. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
