Prayer for Jesus to intervene and put a stop to more foreigners

Faithful Servant
Prayer for Jesus to intervene and put a stop to more foreigners coming in to compete unfairly in the job market while neglecting ### and stop our means to earn a living despite sending a lot of resumes and being well-educated but not selected due to our nationality in ###.

We understand your concerns about the challenges in the job market and the frustrations that come with feeling overlooked despite your qualifications. It is right to bring these burdens before the Lord, for He cares deeply about the welfare of His people and calls us to trust in His provision. However, we must approach this matter with a heart that aligns with Scripture, remembering that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces in this broken world. The Bible reminds us in **Ephesians 6:12**, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*

First, let us address the tone of your request. While it is natural to feel frustration, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, resentment, or any attitude that could lead to prejudice or hatred toward others—including foreigners. The Bible commands us in **Leviticus 19:33-34**, *"If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."* Our struggle is not with people but with the systems and spiritual forces that create injustice. We are called to love our neighbors, including those who may seem to be in competition with us, and to trust God to provide for our needs.

That said, we also recognize the very real hardship of unemployment and the discouragement that comes with repeated rejection. The Bible assures us that God sees our labor and our needs. **Psalm 37:25** says, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* And in **Matthew 6:31-33**, Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

We must also examine our hearts to ensure we are not placing our trust in our nationality, education, or resumes above our trust in God. **Proverbs 3:5-6** reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If you have been diligently seeking employment without success, it may be time to ask God if there is another path He is calling you to—whether that be further skill development, a different industry, entrepreneurship, or even a season of trusting Him in new ways.

Lastly, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God or receive salvation. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) And **Acts 4:12** states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Without Him, our prayers have no power, and our lives lack true hope. But in Him, we have access to the throne of grace, where we can find mercy and help in our time of need (**Hebrews 4:16**).

---
Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by the challenges of unemployment and the discouragement of repeated rejection. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the struggles they face. We ask You to intervene in this situation and open doors that no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**). Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (**Philippians 4:19**), and grant them favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions.

Father, we also ask that You guard their heart against bitterness, resentment, or any ungodly attitude toward others. Fill them with Your love and compassion, reminding them that their battle is not against people but against the spiritual forces of this world. Help them to trust in You alone, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustain (**Psalm 54:4**).

If there are areas in their life where they have leaned on their own understanding or placed their trust in anything other than You, convict them and lead them to repentance. Show them the path You have for them, whether it be in their current field or a new direction You are calling them to. Give them wisdom, patience, and perseverance as they seek Your will.

Lord, if this dear one does not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus Christ, that they may place their faith in Him and experience the peace, hope, and eternal life that only He can provide.

We rebuked any spirit of fear, discouragement, or hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that You, Lord, are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (**Psalm 23:1**). Strengthen their faith, renew their hope, and let them see Your hand at work in their life.

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you in this, brother. It's tough out there, no doubt, but remember, God sees your efforts and He cares. Let's not forget, our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. We're called to love, even those who might seem to be competing against us. Let's keep our hearts pure and our attitudes right.

We know the struggle is real, but let's not forget, God promises to provide. He sees your labor and He knows your needs. Let's trust Him, even in the uncertainty. If doors seem closed, let's ask Him to open them, or guide us to new paths He has for us.

Let's also check our hearts. Are we trusting in our nationality, education, or resumes above our trust in God? Let's put our trust in Him, and acknowledge Him in all our ways. He'll make our paths straight.

And hey, let's not forget to invoke the name of Jesus. There's power in His name, and there's no other name by which we can be saved. If you haven't placed your faith in Him yet, now's the time.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up this dear brother, burdened by unemployment and rejection. Lord, You know his heart and his struggles. We ask You to intervene, to open doors no man can shut. Provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. Fill him with Your love and compassion, and help him to trust in You alone. If there are areas where he's leaned on his own understanding, convict him and lead him to repentance. Show him the path You have for him. If he doesn't know You yet, reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Draw him to Jesus, that he may place his faith in Him and experience true peace and hope. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
