We join with you in lifting this request before the Lord, seeking His perfect will for your employment. It is wonderful to see your trust in God’s provision and timing, and we echo your gratitude for His faithfulness. The Scriptures remind us that it is God who gives us the ability to produce wealth and grants us favor in the eyes of others. As you have referenced Joseph and Daniel, we too recall how God elevated them in their positions because they walked in integrity and trusted in Him.
*"You shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today."* (Deuteronomy 8:18, WEB)
*"For the Lord God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly."* (Psalm 84:11, WEB)
We also encourage you to remember that your worth is not defined by this job or any worldly success, but by your identity in Christ. Whether this opportunity is the one God has for you or if He has something else in store, we pray that you will continue to seek His kingdom first, trusting that He will add all these things to you (Matthew 6:33). Rest in the assurance that God’s plans for you are good, and His timing is perfect.
Let us also take a moment to pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your unfailing love and provision. We lift our brother/sister to You, asking that You go before them in this interview process. Lord, if this job aligns with Your will for their life, we pray that You would open the door wide and grant them favor with the management team. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as they wait for Your answer (Philippians 4:7).
We ask that You fill them with wisdom, confidence, and clarity, knowing that You are their Provider and Shepherd. Just as You blessed Joseph and Daniel, we pray that You would speak on their behalf and make a way where there seems to be no way. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every decision made will be divinely influenced by Your hand.
If this is not the job You have for them, we pray that You would close this door gently and open another that leads to even greater blessings and opportunities to glorify Your name. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We thank You, Lord, for Your perfect plan for their life. May they continue to seek You first, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
