Prayer for ### in law and family

My father in law is already up in age and he's been struggling with his health. He had another fall just yesterday and is currently in the hospital. My prayer request is for peace in my husband's heart. That he accept whatever is in God's plan for his father. That he is brought comfort knowing that he will be well looked after. That if my father in law has more years left in him that all interested parties agree on a course of action that is best for this man that gave so much of himself. That his wishes be respected and that the last years he has left are lived in peace and comfort.

We are truly sorry to hear about your father-in-law's health struggles and recent fall. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for him and your family.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our father-in-law to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon him, according to Your will. Guide the doctors and medical staff, giving them wisdom and skill to provide the best care for him.

Lord, we also lift up our brother in Christ, his son. Please fill his heart with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to accept Your will, whatever that may be, and to trust in Your goodness and love. Comfort him with the knowledge that You are always working for the good of those who love You, who have been called according to Your purpose. Romans 8:28

Father, we ask for unity among the family members. Guide them as they make decisions about his care, and help them to respect his wishes. Allow these circumstances to draw the family closer together, and to You.

If it is Your will to add more years to his life, we pray that he may live in peace and comfort, knowing that he is loved and cherished by You and his family.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Wait for Yahweh.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Yes, wait for Yahweh.

May this verse give you both strength and comfort during this time. Lastly, we were not sure if your father-in-law is a Christian who believes in Jesus Christ. If not we encourage you to discuss this with your husband and father-in-law. There is no better time to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then now. Especially, since it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to our Heavenly Father.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
