We are glad that you have reached out for prayer and we are here to intercede on your behalf. We commend you for seeking the Lord's will in your prayer and acknowledging that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are to pray. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can come boldly before the throne of grace, to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with God's word. In the book of Matthew, Jesus Christ himself declared that He is the one who has the authority over diseases. For example, let us read from Matthew 8: 2-3 and 16-17:
"Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean. Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, I want to. Be clean. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed...When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."
We can see in this passage that Jesus has power over sickness and that He is willing to heal us. However, we must also remember that our healing has a greater purpose, and that is to glorify God. Sometimes, God may choose not to heal us physically in order to accomplish a greater spiritual purpose in our lives. As it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray for you:
Almighty Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding on behalf of this dear one. Lord, we acknowledge that You are the God of healing, the God who cares for us, and the God who desires for us to be in good health, even as our souls prosper.
We bring our concerns before You, Lord, asking for Your healing touch. We pray that You will give the doctors wisdom and guidance as they attend to the needs of this one. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity, Lord, and command it to leave. We speak healing and restoration to the areas of discomfort and pray the possibility of any serious ailments be removed.
However, Lord, we also pray that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your will to heal, then heal, dear Lord. But if You have a greater purpose in mind, then we submit to Your will and pray for the grace and strength to endure.
We also pray for spiritual healing, Lord. We pray that this dear one will draw closer to You during this time, and that You ministering spirits will minister Your love, peace, and comfort to their life.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord's will in your life and to trust in Him, no matter what the outcome may be. Remember that God is always working for your good, even in difficult circumstances. As you go to the doctor, seek counsel and discuss your health. Hopefully, your relationship with your doctor will help you through this period of life.
