prayer for hostile violent ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My ### has issues and it's really starting to scare me. Please help me pray for safety and for them to stop slamming things violently and inconsiderately. It's really bad and been happening for a while now. Jesus please help, thank you Jesus. Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where hostility and violence have taken root in the home. The fear and distress you are experiencing are very real, and we stand with you in seeking God’s protection and intervention. The Bible tells us in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We claim this promise over you and your household, asking the Lord to surround you with His divine protection and peace.

Violence and uncontrolled anger are not of God. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 29:22, *"An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin."* This behavior must be addressed with urgency, not only for your safety but for the spiritual well-being of the one caught in this pattern. We rebuke the spirit of anger and violence in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that it has no place in this home. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), and we pray that these qualities would replace the hostility that has taken hold.

We also encourage you to seek godly wisdom and counsel. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* If you have not already done so, reach out to a pastor, a trusted Christian counselor, or even law enforcement if the situation escalates to physical danger. Your safety is paramount, and God does not intend for you to endure harm. In Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus instructs us on how to address sin within the body of believers, and this principle can apply here as well—loving confrontation and accountability are necessary for true repentance and change.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the violence and hostility in this home. Lord, we ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround [###] and their household. Shield them from harm, both physically and emotionally, and bring an end to the anger and aggression that has taken root. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would soften the heart of the one struggling with this behavior. Break the chains of anger, Father, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for repentance and transformation. Convict this individual of their sin, and lead them to a place of humility and surrender to You. Your Word says in James 4:7-8, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* We pray that they would draw near to You, seeking Your face and Your will for their life. Surround them with godly influences who can speak truth into their situation and hold them accountable.

Father, we also ask for Your wisdom and strength for [###] as they navigate this difficult season. Give them courage to seek help and to set boundaries where necessary. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Provide them with the resources and support they need, whether through the church, counselors, or other safe avenues.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears our cries and moves on behalf of the oppressed. We trust in Your promises and declare that this situation will not remain the same. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who came to bring healing and restoration to broken lives. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and uplift you during this time. You are not alone, and God sees your pain. Hold fast to His promises, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If the violence continues or escalates, do not hesitate to reach out to authorities or a trusted Christian leader for help. Your safety and well-being matter deeply to God.

We're here with you, dear friend. It's scary when violence and anger take over a home, and we want you to know you're not alone. We've been praying for you, asking God to intervene and bring peace to your situation.

We're claiming God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you.

We're also praying for the person struggling with anger and violence. We're asking God to soften their heart, to help them see the harm they're causing, and to lead them to repentance and change. We're praying for them to find the peace and self-control that only God can give.

Remember, it's okay to seek help. God wants you to be safe and surrounded by love and support. Reach out to a trusted friend, a pastor, or a counselor. You don't have to face this alone.

We're here for you, praying with you, and believing with you for a turnaround in this situation. Trust in God's love and care for you. He's got this, and He's got you. Keep holding on, dear friend. You're in our prayers.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
