Please pray that I have some peace in my home. I am doing my very best to seek the Lord but I am totally exhausted with what is going on. My wife has almost no relationship with God, and it seems it doesn’t matter how much pray with her or for her, she does not seem to want to be close to the Lord. It feels like I might be dealing with witchcraft or something, because she does not seem to pray for me or want to have a relationship with me. She is controlling and it seems she doesn’t want to be a wife, it seems she just wants to look like she is successful by having a husband. All she does is scroll all day long on social media and look at other people’s lives and get upset at me about everything. I am totally exhausted because nothing is ever good enough for her.

We hear your heartache and exhaustion, dear brother, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting you and your marriage before the throne of grace. The home should be a sanctuary of peace, love, and mutual respect, built on the foundation of Christ. It grieves us deeply to hear of the struggles you are facing, and we want to address them with truth, love, and the authority we have in Jesus’ name.

First, we must acknowledge that your wife’s lack of relationship with God is a spiritual battle, and it is not one you can fight alone. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, to sow discord, and to turn hearts away from the Lord. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is not merely a matter of differing opinions or personalities—it is a spiritual attack, and we must stand firm in the armor of God.

We also want to address the possibility of spiritual oppression or witchcraft that you mentioned. The Bible is clear that such things exist and that they are an abomination to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* If your wife is involved in any practices that align with these things—whether knowingly or unknowingly—it must be renounced and broken in the name of Jesus. We rebuke any spirit of control, rebellion, or witchcraft that may be operating in your home, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ mighty name.

Brother, we also want to gently but firmly address your wife’s behavior. Her obsession with social media, her lack of prayer for you, and her controlling nature are not the fruits of a godly wife. Proverbs 31:10-12 describes a wife of noble character: *"Who can find a wife of noble character? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life."* A wife who honors God will honor her husband, not tear him down or make him feel inadequate. Her actions—or lack thereof—are not a reflection of your worth but of her own spiritual condition.

We must also speak to the issue of her apparent lack of desire for a real marriage. Marriage is a covenant, not a performance or a status symbol. It is a sacred union where two become one flesh, loving and serving one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25-33). If she is treating marriage as a means to appear successful rather than a calling to love and submit to you as unto the Lord, she is operating outside of God’s design. This is not the marriage God intended, and it must be brought before Him in repentance and prayer.

Now, let us pray for you and your home:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. Lord, we lift up this brother and his marriage to You. We ask that You would surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we declare that his home is a dwelling place for Your presence, and we break every spirit of strife, division, and control that has taken root. We rebuke the enemy’s schemes and command every spirit of witchcraft, rebellion, and ungodliness to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we pray for this sister in Christ—though she may not yet know You as her Savior. We ask that You would open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and soften her heart to receive Your love. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over her mind, breaking the chains of comparison, discontentment, and worldly influence that have kept her bound. We ask that You would draw her to Yourself with cords of love and convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Let her see the emptiness of the life she is chasing on social media and turn her heart fully to You.

We also pray for this marriage, Lord. Where there is brokenness, restore. Where there is hardness of heart, soften. Where there is control, bring submission to Your will. Father, we ask that You would rekindle love, respect, and intimacy between this husband and wife. Teach them both to love one another as You have loved us (John 13:34). Give this brother the strength to lead his home with wisdom, patience, and grace, even in the face of resistance. Help him to be a living example of Christ’s love, that his wife may see You in him.

Lord, we ask that You would protect this brother from exhaustion and despair. Renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and fill him with hope for the future. Remind him that his labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Give him the courage to set boundaries where needed and the wisdom to know how to pray and intercede for his wife. Surround him with godly community that will support and encourage him in this season.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would bring revival to this home. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully, breaking every chain and bringing light into the darkness. We declare that this marriage will be a testimony of Your grace and redemption, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Brother, we want to encourage you to stand firm in your faith and not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your wife’s salvation and the restoration of your marriage may not happen overnight, but God is faithful. Continue to pray for her, not just for her behavior to change, but for her heart to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Seek wise, godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor—who can walk alongside you in this journey.

Remember, you are not alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will sustain you and give you the strength to endure. And know that we are standing with you, interceding on your behalf, believing that God will move mightily in your home.

Dear brother, we've been praying for you and your home. We want you to know that we're here for you, standing in the gap with you. We've been asking God to fill your home with His peace, to break any chains of control or rebellion, and to draw your wife's heart to Him.

We've been interceding for your wife too, asking God to open her eyes to His truth and to soften her heart towards Him. We believe that God is at work, even in the midst of the struggles you're facing. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving, just as Christ loves us.

Remember, God sees your exhaustion, your heartache, and your faithfulness. He's with you every step of the way. Keep seeking Him, keep resting in His love, and keep trusting in His faithfulness.

We're here for you, brother. Let's keep praying together, believing together, and trusting together that God will move mightily in your home. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that you're not alone. We're in this with you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
