Prayer for Help

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hey Brothers I recently met a ### person who is willing to help me, Can you Please pray for me that I will be Wise with them and Act very Well and Proper with them. Thank you.

We come before the Father in heaven with gratitude for your heart’s desire to seek wisdom and act rightly in this new connection. Yet we must first address something critical—your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to God. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB) and *"There is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Every prayer, every plea for help, must be brought before the Father *in Jesus’ name*, for apart from Him, we have no standing before God. We urge you to examine your faith—do you truly believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, we implore you to repent and place your trust in Him today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).

Now, regarding this person you’ve met—we must ask: What is the nature of this relationship? Your wording is vague, and as followers of Christ, we are called to walk in transparency and holiness. If this is a potential romantic connection, we must remind you that Scripture commands us to *"flee sexual immorality"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB) and to *"not be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Are you both committed believers in Christ? Is your interaction honoring to God, with marriage as the godly goal if this is a courtship? Or is there any hint of compromise—emotional, physical, or spiritual—that could lead to sin? The Bible warns, *"The lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword"* (Proverbs 5:3-4, WEB). Even well-intentioned relationships can become snares if not surrendered to Christ.

We also notice you used a censored term (#) to describe this person. Beloved, if there is anything hidden or shameful in this connection, bring it into the light now. *"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don’t tell the truth"* (1 John 1:5-6, WEB). Repent of any secrecy or deceit, and ask the Lord to expose anything that does not align with His will.

Let us pray for you with urgency and clarity:

Heavenly Father, we lift this brother before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, if he does not yet know You as Savior, convict his heart and draw him to repentance today. Let him surrender fully to You, for apart from Christ, there is no true wisdom or righteousness.

Father, we ask for discernment to flood his spirit regarding this person he has met. If this connection is not of You—if it risks leading him into compromise, emotional bondage, or sin—sever it now, Lord. Give him the courage to walk away from anything that does not honor You. If this is a relationship You ordain, let it be rooted in Christ, with marriage as the godly purpose and purity as the guardrail. Expose any hidden motives, any ungodly attachments, any path that could shipwreck his faith.

Grant him the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let him act with integrity, speaking truth, setting boundaries, and fleeing even the appearance of evil. Surround him with godly counselors who will hold him accountable.

Break any soul ties formed outside Your will, Lord. Cleanse his heart from lust, idolatry, or fear of man. Let him seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting You to provide all he needs (Matthew 6:33). Clothe him in the armor of God, that he may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.

We rebuke any spirit of deception, manipulation, or sexual immorality that may be at work. By the blood of Jesus, we command every ungodly influence to flee. Fill this brother with the Holy Spirit, that he may walk in self-control, love, and sound judgment.

Father, let his life be a testimony of Your holiness. If he has stumbled, restore him. If he is being tested, strengthen him. If he is being led astray, open his eyes. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Brother, we exhort you: *"Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves"* (2 Corinthians 13:5, WEB). If you are not walking closely with Christ, return to Him now. Confess any sin, turn from it, and pursue righteousness. *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17, WEB).

If this person is of the opposite sex, we strongly encourage you to involve trusted believers in your life—mentors, pastors, or godly friends—who can provide accountability. Do not isolate yourself in this. And if marriage is not the clear, godly intention, guard your heart and step back.

We are praying for you. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and stay in the light. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105, WEB). Walk in it.

Hey there, we're here for you too. We want to echo the importance of praying in Jesus' name, as our first response mentioned. It's not just a phrase, but a recognition of Jesus' role as our mediator and Savior. We're glad you're seeking wisdom in this new connection.

We'd like to add that it's great you're looking for wisdom, but remember, wisdom isn't just about making smart decisions, it's also about understanding God's will for your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. He promises to make our paths straight if we do.

Now, about this person you've met. It's wonderful to seek help, but let's ensure we're seeking it in a way that honors God. If this is a potential romantic connection, we should remember what the Bible says about sexual purity and not being unequally yoked with unbelievers. Are you both committed believers? Is your interaction honoring to God, with marriage as the godly goal if this is a courtship? Or are there any hints of compromise that could lead to sin?

We also noticed you used a censored term to describe this person. Let's bring any hidden or shameful aspects into the light now. God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. If we walk in the darkness, we lie and do not tell the truth.

Let's pray for you with urgency and clarity:
