Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer. I hear the weight of what you are facing, the sense that powerful forces have colluded against you and that even a governing authority that should have acted righteously has not.

Scripture reminds us that the giants in the land do not have to control our faith. When God promised to bring His people into the land, the report came that there were giants there, but His word to them was not to fear, for He Himself would go before them and drive out their enemies. If God is for us, who can be against us. That promise still stands. He has not called you to fight in your own strength.

Your request rightly names the deeper battle. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and spiritual forces of wickedness in high places. Our real warfare is spiritual, and so our weapons are not physical. They are spiritual weapons, the Word of God, faith, and prayer. The good news is that Jesus has already won that battle. The Scripture says that through the cross He spoiled the principalities and powers and made an open display of His triumph over them. He is now seated far above all principality and power, and as you are in Him, you can come against the darkness in the victory He has already secured. Satan must yield when we resist him in that victory and draw near to God.

That also helps us see how to pray about people and institutions. We do not fight people as our enemies, even when they act unjustly. We pray against the spiritual blindness and the powers that hold people captive, asking the Lord to release them and to bring truth to light.

I understand your disappointment with a regulatory body. God is sovereign over the affairs of men and sets authorities in place. His general call to us is to respect and submit to governing authorities and to obey the law where we can do so with a clear conscience before Him. There are times when we must obey God rather than men if we are commanded to do what God forbids, but even then we do so with reverence and trust that God rules over all. Sometimes He allows corrupt leaders as part of His dealings with a nation that has turned from Him, and that reminds us that ultimate justice belongs to Him. Rather than returning evil for evil, we are called to honor what is honorable, pray for those in authority, and trust the Lord to work righteously on your behalf.

There is also power in praise in the midst of battle. When the people of God set their hearts to praise Him for His promises, He fought for them and gave them rest from their enemies. As you take the promises of God and set them against your situation, thank Him for His faithfulness, for His presence with you, and for the victory that is yours in Christ. That rejoicing lifts the heart out of fear and oppression and helps you walk in the strength of His Spirit.

So I join you in prayer now, not for personal glory, but that the glory of the Lord would be seen as He works in your life according to His perfect will.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bring this dear one before You. You see the pressures, the opposition, and the disappointment with those in authority. I ask that You go before them as You promised to go before Your people. Give them faith to trust that You are for them, and that in You they are more than conquerors. Let them stand in the victory that Jesus won on the cross over every principality and power, and let every work of darkness be exposed and broken.

I pray against the spiritual forces that would seek to blind, confuse, or oppress, and I ask You to release Your truth and Your peace. Give wisdom in every interaction with authorities, grace to act honorably, and favor as You see fit for Your purposes. Work justice where there has been injustice, and let Your will be done. Fill this heart with Your Spirit, that the life of the Spirit would have victory over fear and the flesh, and that praise would replace heaviness.

We thank You that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor any created thing can separate us from Your love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We trust You to do what is right and good, and we give You thanks in Jesus name, amen.
