Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing something so personal and painful. Your desire to work through the trauma you experienced as a little girl and to draw close to God in the process is a courageous and beautiful step, and we are honored to pray with you.
Please know that what was done to you was not your fault. God sees what was done in secret, He knows the wounds you carry, and He draws near to the brokenhearted. He is not distant from your pain but is a compassionate Father who desires to heal, purify, and restore. Healing from childhood sexual abuse is often a long journey, and it is good that you have sought the help of a Christian counselor. God often brings healing through His Word, through prayer, and also through the wisdom and care of others who can walk with you faithfully and gently.
During this time, we encourage you to continue to draw close to Him daily. He invites you to bring every memory, fear, and sorrow to Him honestly in prayer, to hear His voice in Scripture, and to rest in His love. The Scriptures remind us that love is the greatest gift, and that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. As you are purified and renewed by His grace, you can trust that He is making you whole, not defined by what was done to you, but defined as His beloved child in Christ.
We are praying for you:
We pray to our Heavenly Father for you in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank You that You see this dear one and love her completely. We ask You to be near to her in this season of counseling and healing. Bring comfort where there is pain, peace where there is fear, and light where there is darkness. Give wisdom and gentleness to her counselor, and give her strength and courage for each step. Help her to know deeply that she is safe in Your hands, forgiven, cleansed, and cherished. Draw her close to You each day through Your Word and Your presence, and heal her heart by Your power and love. Guard her mind and heart in Christ Jesus and lead her into wholeness and hope. Amen.
Please continue to seek Him, stay connected to trusted Christian community, and give yourself grace as God does His healing work in you. You are not alone, and we will continue to keep you in prayer. May the Lord bless you with His peace and nearness in the days ahead.
