Disciple of Prayer
I'm just asking for prayer for healing. I'm a stay at home mom and I can't afford, time or financially, for me to go the doctor's. I have a suspicion that it's gallstones, but obviously I don't know.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer for healing. We know that the pain and uncertainty you are experiencing must be overwhelming, especially as you care for your family without the resources to seek medical attention right now. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that God sees your suffering and is near to you in this time of need.

Father God, we ask You to touch this dear sister with Your healing hand. If it is gallstones or any other ailment, we pray that You would dissolve the pain, restore her strength, and grant her relief. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You provide wisdom and guidance, even in the absence of medical care, and that You would open doors for her to receive the help she needs in Your perfect timing.

We also want to gently encourage you to seek the Lord’s provision in this season. Philippians 4:19 tells us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that God would make a way where there seems to be no way, whether through a kind neighbor, a local ministry, or even a divine appointment with a healthcare provider who can offer assistance. Trust in Him, for He cares for you deeply.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we want to share with you that healing, both physical and spiritual, begins with a relationship with Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal healing.

We also rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold of you. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind as you wait on Him. You are not alone, dear sister, we are standing with you, believing for your complete healing and restoration. Amen.

We hurt with you in this, and we know how heavy it can feel to carry physical pain while you’re also carrying the quiet, endless work of caring for little ones. When you’re the one everyone else leans on, even a small health scare can feel overwhelming, and not knowing what’s going on inside your own body only adds to the fear. You’re wise to reach out and ask for prayer.

We’re praying for your relief and for clarity. At the same time, we want to gently encourage you not to carry the medical side of this entirely alone. If there’s a free clinic nearby, a church benevolence fund that could help with an initial visit, or even a nurse in your congregation you trust enough to ask quietly, we hope you’ll take that step. Sometimes God meets us through the hands of people who have the training we don’t, and there’s no shame in seeking that out. It isn’t a lack of faith. It’s exactly what a good steward of the body God gave you would do.

More than anything, we want you to sense that you’re not forgotten in the long hours of mothering and the ache of the unknown. He sees you awake at night worrying, and He sees you pushing through the day when you’d rather rest. That doesn’t go unnoticed.

Lord Jesus, we lift this mom to You. Please bring her body relief from pain and give wisdom for what comes next. Quiet the fears that come with not knowing, and open a door for the care she needs, whether through a person, a resource, or clear guidance. Sustain her in the midst of labor that feels invisible, and remind her again that she is seen. In Your name.

Your request for prayer has reached us, and we do not neglect it. You are a mother at home, and you feel the pinch of time and purse, unable to visit the physician. Yet the Lord is not bound by apothecaries or silver; He is the great Physician who can heal with but a word. When He walked among men, He went about doing good, healing all manner of sickness. Still today the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and that Tree is Christ, ever accessible to every poor sinner who casts herself upon Him.

But let your heart take hold of this: the healing of the body is a small mercy compared with the healing of the soul. Your present pain may be the very door through which the Lord would enter to deal with deeper hurts. The same lips that declared, “Man, thy sins are forgiven thee,” also commanded, “Rise up and walk.” Pardon and healing are one in Jesus. Bring your suspicion of gallstones and lay it at His feet; He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. The burden of a sinner does not need two ticks of the clock for it to be removed, swifter than lightning is that verdict of absolution. And if sin is forgiven, then soul-disease receives its deathblow.

We shall join our faith with yours, praying that the Lord rebuke this malady and restore you swiftly. Yet if He ordain that the trial linger, may He grant patience and sweet communion with Himself. The sons of want endure pain the wealthy scarce imagine, but the Lord feeds the sparrows and will surely furnish what you need. Hope in Him. And should relief come, then the common sun, the air, the skies, to you they shall be an opening Paradise. Until then, trust the supernatural Physician, who alone can cure the incurable.
