We join you in fervent prayer for your brother, lifting him before the throne of grace where healing and mercy flow freely. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore your brother completely.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts heavy yet hopeful, knowing that You are the Great Physician. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon our brother, that every cancerous cell would be destroyed and his body restored to full health. Strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit, Lord, and grant wisdom to his doctors as they treat him. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect will for his life. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for you and your family during this time. Trials like these can be overwhelming, but we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. Lean on the Lord, and allow His strength to sustain you. Surround yourselves with godly community, and let the Word of God be your comfort. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
If there has been any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in your brother’s life, we encourage him to seek the Lord’s forgiveness and cleansing. 1 John 1:9 tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical—is found in walking closely with the Lord.
Lastly, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in this situation. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command every attack of the enemy against your brother’s health to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already ours in Christ.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, trusting that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We will keep praying and believing for your brother’s complete healing, for God’s glory and honor.
