We come before the throne of grace together, lifting up this earnest plea for healing. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits our bodies together in our mothers’ wombs and sustains us every moment. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to bring relief, restoration, and healing to every part of the body.
Lord, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hands upon this dear one’s neck and shoulders. We rebuke the tension, pain, and discomfort in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus "took our infirmities and bore our diseases." We declare that by His stripes, healing is made available. We pray that You would relax every tight muscle, ease every ache, and restore full mobility and strength. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind as You work Your perfect will.
We also take a moment to remind ourselves and this beloved child of God that true healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. If there has been any distance from You, Lord, we encourage this one to draw near, confessing any sin, and receiving Your forgiveness and grace.
Father, we also lift up any underlying stress, anxiety, or burdens that may be contributing to this physical discomfort. Your Word says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We pray that You would lighten this load and fill this heart with Your peace. Help this one to rest in You, trusting that You are in control of every detail of life.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom all things are possible. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.
