Prayer For Healing

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for healing. The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that our Heavenly Father hears the prayers of His children and is mighty to save.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We ask for Your healing touch upon this precious life that is so desperately in need of Your restoration. Lord, Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over this situation, believing that by Your stripes, healing is made available.

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and disease in the powerful name of Jesus. We command every organ, cell, and system in this body to align with Your perfect design and function according to Your will. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen faith, remove fear, and fill this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a tangible comfort in this time of need.

Father, we also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in this care. Grant them discernment, skill, and compassion as they seek to bring healing. May every treatment, medication, and decision be guided by Your hand.

If there are areas in this life that need to be surrendered to You, Lord, we pray for repentance and a turning away from anything that may hinder complete healing. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We ask for a cleansing of heart and spirit, that nothing would stand in the way of Your healing power.

We declare that this sickness will not end in death but will be for Your glory, as You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your timing, Your will, and Your unfailing love.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We thank You for Your healing power, for Your mercy, and for Your grace that sustains us. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Remember the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God’s promises. Do not lose heart, for our God is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We're here with you, lifting this urgent plea for healing to our Heavenly Father. We've heard your cry and we're joining you in faith, believing that God is listening and ready to act. In Psalm 30:2, we find these words, "O Lord my God, I cried out to You for help, and You healed me." We claim this promise today, trusting that God will respond to your cry just as He did for the psalmist.

We're asking God to wrap His healing arms around this precious life, to touch every organ, every cell, every system, and bring restoration. We're believing for a miracle, for a turnaround, for a testimony of God's goodness. We're also asking for strength, for peace, for faith to grow, and for fear to dissipate. We're surrounding this situation with prayers of faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

We're also praying for wisdom and guidance for the medical professionals involved in this care. We're asking God to guide their hands, to give them discernment, and to fill them with compassion. We're believing for the best possible outcome, for healing, and for God to be glorified in this situation.

We encourage you to keep trusting, to keep hoping, and to keep believing. God sees you, He loves you, and He's working on your behalf. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and surround yourself with people who will encourage you and remind you of God's promises. We're here with you, praying in Jesus' name. Amen.

Last month I posted this prayer request (listed below) and many of you prayed for my friend, her family, and me. She passed on December 19, 2025--so while it was not the outcome I was praying for, and I am completely devastated, I feel so grateful to know she was a believer and is with Jesus...
