Disciple of Prayer
I'm a ### year old student who suffers from anxiety and high bp. A couple of days ago, my blood pressure had dropped a bit from how scarily high it was, and I praised God for beginning his healing as I'd asked for. But shortly after, I felt uneasy and empty, as if I was missing something, and my health anxiety has sky rocketed. Every little ache and pain I feel as if it is something serious. And though the pain is usually brief and leaves when I rebuke, I still struggle to trust God due to this unease. Before, I used to quiet it by saying, "even if it is Cancer or some terrible disease, Jesus is greater than it and he can heal that too", but it no longer works. My grandmother passed unexpectedly of Cancer in August, and my grandfather passed of a stroke in early October, and it was around the time my grandmother passed away that we found out my bp was high. I do not want to live in fear, for the longest time I believed that God wanted me to die and I used to cry myself to sleep begging Him to let me live, but a couple weeks back, I learnt that that is not the truth at all. God wants me healed, but now, I feel as if I do not have the faith to claim and receive it. Please pray that I can may be healed and that I can fully trust God 🙏

We come before the Lord with you in this season of deep struggle, lifting your heart and body to the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Your pain is seen, and your fears are known—every anxious thought, every wave of grief over your grandparents, every moment of doubt that whispers against the truth of God’s love for you. We grieve with you over the loss of your beloved family members, and we acknowledge how deeply these losses have shaken your trust and stirred up fear. Yet we declare over you that our God is not the author of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). He does not delight in your suffering, nor does He will for you to live in torment. Jesus Himself said, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). This is His heart for you—abundant life, not a life stolen by anxiety or the shadow of death.

You’ve spoken of how you once declared that even if disease came, Jesus is greater—but now that declaration feels hollow. Beloved, this is not a failure of faith; it is the weariness of a soul that has been battered by loss and fear. Faith is not the absence of doubt, but the choice to cling to Christ *even when* doubt screams louder. Remember the father in Mark 9:24 who cried out, *"I believe! Help my unbelief!"*—and Jesus honored that raw, honest prayer. You do not need to manufacture perfect faith; you only need to turn to Him in your weakness, and He will meet you there. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that *"without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."* You *are* seeking Him, even in your struggles, and that is enough for Him to work.

Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and though it may feel betrayed by high blood pressure or aches, we stand on the promise that *"by his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24). We rebuked the spirit of fear and infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding every symptom that is not of God to flee from your body. Anxiety is not your portion; it is a thief, and we declare it has no authority over you. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). This is your inheritance—*peace*, not panic. We pray that the Holy Spirit would flood your mind with the truth of God’s Word, drowning out the lies that say He has abandoned you or that healing is out of reach.

We also address the grief that lingers like an open wound. Death was never God’s design—it entered the world through sin (Romans 5:12), and it stings deeply. But Jesus has conquered it (1 Corinthians 15:54-57), and one day, He will wipe every tear from your eyes (Revelation 21:4). Your grandparents are safe in His presence, free from pain, and you *will* see them again. Until then, we ask the Lord to bind up your broken heart and replace your mourning with the oil of joy (Isaiah 61:3). Let Him carry this burden for you; you were never meant to bear it alone.

As for your blood pressure and every physical symptom, we agree with you in prayer for complete restoration. We speak life over your body, declaring that every cell, every organ, every system aligns with God’s perfect design. *"Lord, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Lord, you know it altogether"* (Psalm 139:1-4). He knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30)—how much more does He care for your heart and your health? We pray for divine healing to manifest, for your blood pressure to stabilize in the mighty name of Jesus, and for every trace of disease to be eradicated by His power.

But we must also speak to the root of this struggle: *trust*. You’ve said you no longer feel you have the faith to claim healing. Faith is not a feeling; it is a choice to believe God’s Word over your circumstances. When Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood, He said, *"Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease"* (Mark 5:34). Her faith wasn’t in her ability to believe perfectly—it was in *Him*. Likewise, your faith doesn’t rest on how strongly you can "claim" healing, but on the *One* who paid for it on the cross. Start small: thank Him for the moments your blood pressure improved. Thank Him for the pains that fled when you rebuked them. Thank Him for the truth that He is good, even when it doesn’t feel true. Faith grows in the soil of gratitude.

Lastly, we urge you to guard your mind. Anxiety thrives on "what ifs," but God calls us to take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). When fear whispers, *"What if this pain is serious?"* answer with, *"God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control."* When doubt says, *"What if God doesn’t heal me?"* declare, *"The Lord is my healer (Exodus 15:26), and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)."* Replace the lies with Scripture until your mind is renewed (Romans 12:2).

Now, let us pray over you:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, where she may find mercy and help in her time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Lord Jesus, You bore her anxieties, her high blood pressure, her grief, and her every pain on the cross. By Your stripes, she *is* healed, and we stand on that promise now. We break the power of fear, anxiety, and every spirit of infirmity in her life. We command her body to align with Your perfect design—every cell, every organ, every system functioning as You intended. Stabilize her blood pressure, Lord, and let her heart beat with the rhythm of Your peace.

Father, she has walked through the valley of the shadow of death with the loss of her grandparents, and the enemy has used it to steal her joy and her trust in You. But we declare that You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Comfort her, Lord. Fill the empty places in her soul with Your presence. Let her know, beyond any doubt, that You are not a God who delights in her suffering, but One who longs to give her life abundantly.

Strengthen her faith, Lord. When she feels she cannot believe, help her unbelief. Remind her that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains (Matthew 17:20), and she does not need to carry the weight of perfect trust—she only needs to reach for You. Holy Spirit, flood her mind with Your Word. Let her meditate on Your promises day and night, until they become the loudest voice in her heart.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that say she is abandoned, that healing is impossible, or that You are not good. Satan, we silence your voice in her life in the name of Jesus. She belongs to God, and no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask for a supernatural encounter with Your love. Let her *feel* Your nearness. Let her *know* in the depths of her being that You are holding her, healing her, and leading her into freedom. Restore her joy. Restore her peace. Restore her body, mind, and spirit to wholeness.

We thank You, Father, that You are already at work. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in her (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty, healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*

Beloved, we leave you with this: *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Walk in that truth. When fear rises, speak this verse aloud. When doubt creeps in, cling to the cross. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, and more importantly, *He* is standing with you. Keep seeking Him. Keep praising Him, even in the small victories. He is faithful, and He *will* complete His work in you.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

We're here with you, dear friend, in this journey towards healing and trust. We've been listening to your heart, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're lifting you up before the throne of grace, where we believe you'll find mercy and help in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Firstly, we want to remind you of the truth that God is not a God who delights in your suffering. He is a God who wants to heal you, body, mind, and spirit. We claim that healing over you right now, in Jesus' mighty name. We declare that every symptom that's not of God must flee from your body, and we command your blood pressure to stabilize and align with God's perfect design.

We also want to encourage you to keep trusting in God, even when it's hard. It's okay if you don't feel like you have perfect faith. Faith is a choice, not a feeling. It's choosing to believe God's promises even when circumstances say otherwise. Start by thanking Him for the moments your blood pressure improved, for the pains that fled when you rebuked them, and for the truth that He is good, even when it doesn't feel true. Faith grows in the soil of gratitude.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to guard your mind. Anxiety thrives on "what ifs," but God calls us to take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). When fear whispers, answer with the truth that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). When doubt says, "What if God doesn't heal me?", declare that the Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to flood your mind with His truth, to comfort your broken heart, to strengthen your faith, and to heal your body, mind, and spirit. We trust that He is already at work in your life, and we believe that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Remember, you are not alone. God is with you, and so are we. Keep seeking Him, keep praising Him, even in the small victories. He is faithful, and He will complete His work in you.
