We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your loved one who is struggling with sleep. The lack of rest can be deeply burdensome, both physically and spiritually, and we know how much our Heavenly Father cares for every detail of our lives. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 121:3-4, *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* If God neither slumbers nor sleeps as He watches over us, how much more should we trust Him to provide rest for His children?
Yet we must also address something important in your request—you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all prayers must be offered to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your faith in Him alone for salvation. Without Him, our prayers are empty, and our souls remain separated from God.
Now, let us pray together for your loved one’s healing and rest, lifting this need to the Lord in Jesus’ name:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon this beloved sister in Christ. Lord, You are the God who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that You would remove every disturbance—whether physical, spiritual, or emotional—that is keeping her from the rest her body and soul need. Rebuke any anxiety, pain, or oppression of the enemy that may be stealing her peace. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter, and let her rest in the assurance of Your love and sovereignty.
We pray for wisdom for her and those caring for her, that they may seek godly counsel and medical help if needed, trusting that You are the Great Physician. Let this trial draw her closer to You, Lord, and may she find her strength renewed as she waits upon You (Isaiah 40:31). We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), that she may be restored to full health for Your glory. Amen."*
We also encourage you to examine whether there are any unconfessed sins, unresolved conflicts, or spiritual strongholds in her life that may be contributing to this sleeplessness. The Bible tells us in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Sometimes, physical ailments can be tied to spiritual or emotional burdens, and repentance and forgiveness can bring breakthrough.
If this struggle persists, we urge her to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can pray with her and offer biblical guidance. May the Lord grant her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and restore her sleep as a testimony of His goodness. Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful!
