Prayer For Healing

Hi,

I live in a small town. I believe in my Lord Jesus Christ. I am having some problems with someone harrassing my wife. This person is above man's law (he is an alderman) and the local law enforcement agencies will not do anything about him or his drinking rages that he inflicts on others. I know that I am suppossed to forgive him, but seeing your loved one hurt is something that none of us can endure for very long. I'm sure our God wept uncontrolably when our Lord was tortured and crucified. The man is suppossed to be a "Christian" and is well established in this community. I am needing healing in my forgiveness department and needing a word from the Lord on how to approach this man, so that all gets resolved without my old dead self flaring up and way-laying this person. I love my wife dearly. She had to put up with my drinking and rampages before I gave my heart completely to my Lord. She shouldn't have to put up with it from someone that is supposed to be in authority. The emotions are running high. I want God to get the Glory for resolving this. I love my Lord and am trying to place everything in his hands, but it is getting to where it effects everything my wife does. Basically, I do not know what exactly to pray for. If all this sounds gibberishy, it is because it has been a hectic morning. I want God to be Glorified and my wife to not be the target of these verbal yet abusive attacks. Please help me in what I am supposed to pray.

I pray for you my brother , I understand your pain, but God would want you to protect your wife from this person,

even if your only option is to move, but i would go the church request the some other members join you, and you as a group approach the person and ask him to stop. if that does not work, then ask the church as a hole to talk to this person, then if that does not work , brother it time you move because that's a town you don't want to be in,
