We understand that you are seeking healing and restoration in your life, and we want to lift up your situation in prayer and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to address the issue of healing. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, and by His stripes, we are healed (Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24). So, we pray for your healing in the name of Jesus, trusting in His promises.
Concerning your relationship, we want to approach this with care and biblical principles. We commend you for regretting the past abortions, as God's word reminds us of His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). We grieve with you over the loss. God can heal you and restore you from this pain. From 1 Samuel 1: 1-20 we see how God heard Hannah's prayer and blessed her with a child. God loves children and desires that they be brought into the world and raised in the fear of the Lord. We also observe that you have been celebrating a reconnection with this man. We would be remiss if we did not clearly discuss this situation.
First, we want to emphasize that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5). We also want to address the issue of drug use. If you suspect that he is using drugs, we encourage you to pray for him and seek God's guidance on how to help him. However, we must also caution you against trying to change or save him on your own. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is only one way to be saved and that is through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). While your intentions may be noble, it is essential to remember that true change comes from the Holy Spirit working in his life (John 16:8-11). As someone who was previously in a relationship with him, it is crucial to set boundaries and avoid falling into past behaviors.
We must also explicitly address the issue of sexual immorality. If you have been engaging in sexual activity with him, we urge you to repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The Bible is clear that fornication or any form of impurity is a sin against God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and receive forgiveness for our sins (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10). Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If you have not engaged in sexual activity, we appreciate your commitment to biblical principles and encourage you to continue living a life of purity.
We also want to address the desire for marriage and children. It is commendable that you want to do things right and seek marriage. However, we must ensure that this relationship is built on a solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His word. We encourage you to pray for God's will to be done in your life and in the life of this man. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for you, and He will reveal it in His perfect timing (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in need of healing and restoration. We pray for the healing of her body, mind, and soul, trusting in Your promises.
Lord, You are the giver of life, and You love children. We pray for healing for our sister from the loss of her children and ask that You forgive her and help her to live in the knowledge of Your forgiveness. We pray that You bless her with children in Your perfect timing, if it is Your will.
Father, we pray for the man in her life. If he is indeed using drugs, we pray that You open the doors for her to help him and that You soften his heart to receive the help he needs. We pray that You bring conviction upon his heart and draw him to Yourself. We pray for them to seek marriage and the blessing of children that You promise as a reward in the covenant of marriage and we ask that You go after whatever it is.
Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives. We pray that You guide them and give them the strength to resist temptation and live according to Your word. We pray that You bring healing and restoration to their relationship, and that Your will will be done to bring honor and glory to Your name.
We pray that no one feels as if they have a victory over our sister and we pray that You continue to cover them in your blood of protection. Father God, we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ and ask this of You, in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in His perfect plan. Remember that God loves you and has a purpose for you. Stay strong in your faith and obedience to His word. And be assured that we are here to support and pray for you.
