We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from high cholesterol and physical pain. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that true healing comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities on the cross. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as Lord and Savior, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). Only then can you approach God with full confidence in His power to heal.
Father God, we thank You for Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, which says, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this truth today, believing that You are the Great Physician who sees every ache and knows every need. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this body struggling with high cholesterol. You formed us in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and know every cell in our being. We pray for the restoration of healthy levels, that the blood may flow freely and the heart may function as You designed.
We also lift up the pain in the chest while breathing and the swelling below the eyes. Father, Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We claim this promise now, asking that You would ease the discomfort, reduce the swelling, and bring clarity to the cause of these symptoms. Guide the hands of any medical professionals involved, that they may be instruments of Your healing.
Lord, we recognize that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to honor You with them. We pray for wisdom in diet, exercise, and lifestyle choices that may be contributing to these struggles. Help us to surrender our habits to You, trusting that Your ways lead to life and health.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be exacerbating these physical symptoms. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We declare that fear has no place here and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Instead, we receive Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this dear one closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face more than relief from pain, and may their trust in You grow stronger with each passing day. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
