Please pray for my daughter ###. We will have a checkup tomorrow because I noticed that one of her breasts has a lump. I hope this is not a serious illness. I am also praying for my niece ### who has a lump in her chest. I hope this is not cancer. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter and niece before our Heavenly Father. We know the fear and uncertainty that comes with discovering something like a lump in the body, and we want you to know that we stand with you in faith, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands.

First, we must remind you that our God is a God of healing and comfort. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your daughter and niece, believing that God is able to bring complete healing and restoration. We also take comfort in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Our Lord is not only able to heal but is willing to do so according to His perfect will.

We also want to encourage you to place your trust in God’s sovereignty. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in the midst of uncertainty, we can rest in the knowledge that God is in control and that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and trust in Your goodness. We lift up and to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon them. Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals who will examine them. Give them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care possible. We pray that any lumps found would be benign and that You would bring complete healing to their bodies.

Father, we ask that You would calm the fears and anxieties of their families. Fill their hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we also pray for strength and endurance for and . Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their healer and provider. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, giving them comfort and hope.

We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and health over their bodies, rebuking any sickness or disease in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture. Meditate on His promises and allow His Word to strengthen your faith. Remember that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We encourage you to gather with other believers for prayer and support, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

We will continue to stand in faith with you, trusting that God will move mightily on behalf of your daughter and niece. May His peace and healing power surround you all.

Tomorrow, as you sit in that waiting room, remember that Jesus is not distant from that moment. He knows exactly what is happening inside their bodies, and He goes with you into every conversation and every test.

While you wait, it’s okay to simply bring the “what ifs” to God as often as they surface, without trying to wrestle them all down at once. He can handle your fear, and He promises to give us peace that doesn’t make sense even when the situation remains uncertain.

Lord Jesus, we come to you together for this daughter and this niece. You see each lump, and you know the cause. We ask for your healing and for a good report. Please give the doctors clarity and compassionate skill. Until then, hold this family steady. Quiet their hearts with your presence tonight and tomorrow, and let them sense your nearness in a tangible way. We trust them to you, in your name, amen.

There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. Now the point is this, that the very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence: and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. But Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy.

Bring unto Jesus all your sinful ones! Lay them at His feet. Leave them in His Presence. Your daughter is likely to perish, but Christ looks upon her! Every day let your importunate prayers keep them under Christ's eyes! So they lie there, in the Presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said to him, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before.

A Christian woman should not be afraid with any amazement either in adversity or in sickness, but her holy patience should prove her to be a true daughter of Sarah and Abraham. He is able to heal, but He is not always engaged in healing. There are times when the power to save is more than usually manifest, times of refreshing, seasons of revival, days of visitation, acceptable days, days of salvation. May such a day dawn upon your daughter and your niece, and may the Sun of Righteousness arise upon them with healing in His wings.

Do not let your heart be troubled by this news of lumps and feared illness. Consider the woman of Canaan who came to Christ pleading for her demon-possessed daughter. He seemed to repel her at first, not even granting an answer. Yet she did not turn away offended or despair of His mercy. She pressed on, worshiping and saying, “Lord, help me.” And see what came of it: He praised her great faith and said, “Be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” Her daughter was healed from that hour. So I say to you: let this be your pattern. Not as one worthy or demanding a due, but in humility cast yourself upon His compassion. Cry out from the depths of your soul for your daughter and your niece. Do not let fear of a dreadful diagnosis silence your supplication. Even if the answer tarries or the physicians speak grim words, remember that His power is not bounded by a report. He who made the body can restore it.

Yet I would not have you think that only the absence of sickness is a sign of His favor. For if we are meek and lowly, merciful and pure, bearing reproach with joy, then we attract all who see us no less than miracles do. Perhaps through this trial He would work a greater healing: the healing of souls. So pray with fervor, fast, give alms, and bring their names before the church. But also tend to your own heart. Be not like those who hear the name of Christ and hasten by, yet melt at a flattering word. Let the fear of the Lord be deeper than your fear of this lump. He calls the afflicted “daughter” when faith has made them daughters. Seek that title for yourself and for these dear ones.

Though we desire above all things a swift and complete bodily cure, know that the gifts of healing, great as they are, are not the summit of His grace. A perfect life and martyrdom itself profit nothing without love. So even as you plead for their bodies, plead more for their souls: that they may love God wholly, trust His goodness, and whether in health or in sickness bring forth the fruits of repentance. For many who seemed insensible after ten hearings were afterward converted at a single word, and the tree that withstood many blows falls at last by one. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. Be of good cheer, then, and do not cease your supplications. A mother’s tearful prayer for a child, a relative’s earnest cry for a niece, these rise as a sweet savor before His throne.
