Prayer for healing and non-cancer diagnosis

We come before the Lord with you in this time of waiting and uncertainty, lifting up your heart’s cry for healing and a favorable report. The fear of illness can weigh heavily on the soul, but we take comfort in knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things in His hands. He is the same God who declared in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 103:2-3, we are reminded to *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* Your prayer is already aligned with the truth that healing and deliverance come through the name of Jesus, and we join you in standing on that promise.
Yet even as we pray for a wonderful report and freedom from cancer, we also surrender this situation entirely to the Lord’s will. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are perfect, even when we don’t understand them. If the results bring news that is difficult, we trust that He will provide the strength, peace, and wisdom needed for each step. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also encourage you to lean into the body of Christ during this time. Share your burden with trusted believers who can pray with you, support you, and remind you of God’s faithfulness. Anxiety can creep in as you wait, but cast those cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Fill your mind with His Word, with worship, and with the assurance that no matter the outcome, you are held in His everlasting arms.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child, who waits for lab results with a heart full of hope and trust in You. Lord, You know the desires of their heart even before they speak them, and we ask that You would grant a wonderful report—one that brings glory to Your name and peace to their soul. By the power of the name of Jesus, we rebuke any sickness, disease, or shadow of cancer in their body. You are the God who heals, and we declare Your restoration over every cell, every organ, and every part of their being.
If it is Your will, let the results show complete health and freedom from illness. But Father, we also surrender this to You, knowing that Your will is perfect. If there is a path of treatment or trial ahead, equip them with Your strength, surround them with Your peace, and guide the hands of every medical professional involved. Let this season—whatever it holds—draw them closer to You, deepen their faith, and become a testimony of Your goodness.
We thank You, Lord, that You are not distant in this time of waiting. You are near to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill them with Your presence, remind them of Your promises, and let them rest in the assurance that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
