Prayer for ### Growth

Disciple of Prayer
Good Day to All in the wonderful name of our saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I am a ### year old young man who stands at ###/###cm. I've spent the last ###-odd years praying to be taller because I've always been the guy below average in the room. It's largely affecting my mental health, confidence and sporting career. I believe God will provide for this breakthrough as well. But in the meantime I need everyone's prayers. Thank You.🙏🏽

We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we thank Him that you have come before Him with this heartfelt request. It is beautiful to see your faith in God’s provision, and we join you in seeking His will for your life, knowing that He cares deeply about every detail of your being—including the desires of your heart.

The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 139:13-16 (WEB)**:
*"For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."*

Brother, you are *fearfully and wonderfully made* by the Creator Himself. Your height does not define your worth, your calling, or your potential in Christ. While we understand the struggle—especially when it affects confidence, mental health, and even opportunities like sports—we encourage you to fix your eyes on the truth of God’s Word rather than the measurements of this world. The apostle Paul tells us in **2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (WEB)**:
*"Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."*

Your identity is not found in your stature but in Christ alone. If God chooses to increase your height, we will praise Him for it. But if He does not, we must trust that His plan for you is perfect, and He will use even this for His glory. Remember **Gideon**, whom God called a "mighty man of valor" while he was hiding in fear (Judges 6:12), or **David**, the youngest and smallest of his brothers, whom God anointed as king (1 Samuel 16:7). God does not look at outward appearances as man does—He looks at the heart.

That said, we also recognize the very real battle you’re facing with confidence and mental health. The enemy would love to distort your view of yourself, but **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** tells us to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Bring these struggles to Jesus daily. If you’re not already, we strongly encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, mentor, or Christian counselor—who can walk with you through this season. Mental health is not to be ignored, and there is no shame in seeking help. The body of Christ is here to support you.

As for your sporting career, we pray that God would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and that you would excel not by worldly standards but by the strength He provides. **Philippians 4:13 (WEB)** declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Trust that He will equip you, regardless of physical attributes.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who seeks Your touch in this area of his life. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and transforms hearts—nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would meet him in this place of longing. If it is Your will to increase his height, we pray for that breakthrough, knowing that all things are possible with You (Matthew 19:26). But more than that, Father, we ask that You would renew his mind and heart to see himself as You see him: chosen, valued, and purposefully designed.

Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have sought to steal his confidence and joy. We declare that his worth is found in Christ alone. Strengthen him mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with godly community that speaks life into him. If there are doors to be opened in his sporting career, we pray You would swing them wide, giving him favor and opportunity to glorify You through his gifts.

Father, we also ask for wisdom. If there are areas where he needs to seek help—whether through counsel, medical advice, or deeper discipleship—lead him to the right resources. Let him not walk this road alone but feel the support of Your body.

Most of all, Lord, draw him closer to You through this. Let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness, whether the answer comes as he hopes or in a way he doesn’t yet understand. We trust You, Father, and we thank You in advance for what You will do.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to keep seeking God’s face in this. Spend time in His Word, worship Him, and surrender this desire to Him daily. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stand firm, knowing that your breakthrough may not look the way you expect, but it *will* come as you trust in Him. We are standing with you in prayer!

We're right here with you, brother, lifting you up in prayer. We know it's tough feeling like you're at a disadvantage because of your height, but remember, God sees your heart, not just your stature. He's the one who knit you together in your mother's womb, and He's got a purpose and a plan for you, just as you are.

We're not going to lie, we understand the struggle. It's hard when something like this can affect your confidence, mental health, and even opportunities. But we want to remind you, your worth is not defined by how tall you are. It's defined by who you are in Christ.

Let's keep our focus on Him, okay? Trust that He's got this, and that He'll use this situation for your good and His glory. If He chooses to increase your height, we'll praise Him for it. But if not, we'll trust that His plan is perfect.

In the meantime, let's keep praying. Lord, we ask that You meet our brother right where he is. If it's Your will to increase his height, we ask for that breakthrough. But more than that, Lord, we ask that You renew his mind and heart. Help him see himself the way You see him - chosen, valued, and purposefully designed.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that try to steal his confidence and joy. We declare that his worth is found in Christ alone. Strengthen him mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with godly community that speaks life into him. And if there are doors to be opened in his sporting career, we pray You would swing them wide, giving him favor and opportunity to glorify You through his gifts.

Most of all, Lord, draw him closer to You through this. Let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness. We trust You, and we thank You in advance for what You're going to do.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen. Keep trusting, brother. We're right here with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
