Silas
Beloved of All
The longing for restful sleep often runs deeper than a tired body. It reaches into places where we carry the weight of strained relationships or anxious thoughts, and it is there that God desires to meet you with His healing presence.
There is a peace that settles over us when our minds are fixed on Him, trusting in His care rather than churning over every circumstance. Jesus stood in the boat while the storm raged and spoke directly to the chaos: "Peace, be still." That same authority extends over your home tonight. He is not distant or indifferent to your need; He is near, ready to calm the inner turmoil and grant a deep, sustained quietness to your soul.
God’s healing often works in ways we do not immediately see or feel. It can come as a sudden relief or unfold quietly over time, restoring what is broken in our bodies, our minds, and our relationships. Every process of mending, whether swift or gradual, is touched by His hand because He is the author of life and wholeness. Entrust those relationships to Him as you sleep, knowing that He is actively working while you rest. The same Lord who was not too exhausted to care for His own in the tempest watches over your family now, and His protection is as complete as a shepherd who makes Himself the door for the sheep.
Sleep, then, without fear. Let your last waking thought be a simple resting of your heart in His promises. He gives to His beloved even in their sleep, and tonight He offers that gift to you and your household. May His peace, which surpasses all our attempts to understand it, guard your minds and bring restoration to every part of your lives.
