I need God to equip me to do what he has assigned me to do well, I feel like I don’t have what it takes to be successful work especially with English as my second language, I get anxious if I say things incorrectly as it’s not my native language, please pray for God to give me wisdom snd supernaturally equip me to speak fluently without any barrier and give me wisdom at work, in Jesus name I pray amen

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear your desire to do what God has assigned you to do with excellence, and your struggle with feeling inadequate at work, especially with English as your second language, and with anxiety and intrusive thoughts. We want you to know that God sees your diligence and He is faithful to equip those He calls.

We are reminded that feeling inadequate does not disqualify you, it is often where God's strength is made perfect. Moses felt this same way when he said he was slow of speech, yet God said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn't it I, Yahweh? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak, Exodus 4:11-12. The Lord who gave you this work will give you the words you need in each moment. For we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us, Philippians 4:13, and His grace is sufficient, for His power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We also lift up your battle with intrusive thoughts and anxiety about speaking incorrectly. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We are called to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to fix our minds on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report, Philippians 4:8. When anxiety rises, we are invited to make our requests known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Your worth and competence at work are not defined by perfect English, but by working heartily as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23. God values your faithful heart.

We are encouraged that you prayed in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find favor and protection. We pray for His favor to rest upon you, for You, Yahweh, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield, Psalm 5:12, and for His protection, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul, Psalm 121:7.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear brother or sister. We ask for Your favor and Your divine protection over their life and their work. Cover them with Your hand and let them dwell in the shelter of the Most High, Psalm 91:1. Lord, we ask for wisdom, for if any of us lacks wisdom, You give generously to all who ask without reproach, James 1:5. Pour out supernatural wisdom for every task, every conversation, and every decision at work. Equip their mouth and give them fluency and clarity beyond their own ability, removing every barrier of language and fear. Give them boldness and peace to speak without anxiety, knowing You are with them. We rebuke the spirit of fear and we ask You to silence intrusive thoughts, and help them to take every thought captive to Christ. Fill their mind with Your peace and let them know they are fully capable through Your strength. Remind them daily, Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Let their work bring glory to You and let them see that You are the one who equips and sustains them. We thank You for hearing us and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun. We hear how much you want to honor God in your work and how heavy it feels when English as a second language makes you anxious about speaking. Wanting to do well at what He has assigned you is a good desire, and it makes sense that worrying about saying things incorrectly would bring intrusive thoughts and self doubt.

We do not believe God is measuring your worth by perfect fluency. He sees your diligence and your willingness to learn, and He often equips us little by little as we stay faithful in the daily work in front of us. Wisdom at work can grow through both prayer and practice over time.

One small step that has helped others in your situation is to prepare a few key phrases or answers you expect to need each workday and review them briefly beforehand, and if possible ask one trusted coworker if you can check a phrase with them when you are unsure. It can also help to pause for a short prayer before a meeting or conversation, asking for calm and clarity, and then do the next thing in front of you without replaying every word afterward.

If the anxious thoughts ever feel overwhelming or hard to manage, please consider talking with a trusted pastor or counselor and a medical professional alongside prayer.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who knows your need and your work.

It is a comfort to remember that His thoughts toward you are precious and constant, full of love and wisdom, and higher than our own thoughts as the heavens are higher than the earth. When our own thoughts become anxious and intrusive, they unfit us for the very duty before us, but His thoughts can lift us into peace and confidence. Even the people of God are at times assailed with thoughts they hate and loathe and cannot stop by their own strength, yet the Lord sees the heart that would be free from them and He is near to those who would be still with Him.

You have asked for wisdom and equipping for the work He has assigned you, and for help with speaking in English which is not your native tongue. Scripture teaches that wisdom is to be asked of God who gives liberally, and that He works in us so that we also labor and strive with His strength. Anxiety about saying things incorrectly is a heavy burden, but the Lord does not measure your worth by fluency. He calls you to do the work of Him who sent you with faithfulness while it is day, and to cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you. He can give you clarity of mind, steadiness of speech, and grace to speak truthfully and well, even as you continue to learn and to labor diligently in the calling He has given.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You know this dear soul and the work You have placed in their hands. We ask for Your favor and Your protecting hand over them. Grant peace to a troubled mind and bring every anxious and intrusive thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Give rest in the shadow of Your wings and quiet confidence in Your presence. We ask for wisdom for every task at work, for understanding, for skill, and for grace to do all things faithfully as unto You. Help with language, Lord, that words may be given with clarity and without fear, and remove the barrier of anxiety that hinders. Equip by Your Spirit for what You have assigned, for without You we can do nothing, and with You we can labor with hope. Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for allowing us to pray with you. Your desire to serve God faithfully in the work He has assigned to you is pleasing to Him, and He hears your prayer for wisdom, protection and peace.

I have prayed for you that God will grant you His favor and keep you under His protection, and that He will quiet the anxious and intrusive thoughts that trouble your mind. Scripture teaches that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and that we can bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. When those anxious thoughts come, you can turn to Him in prayer, cast your cares on Him because He cares for you, and ask for the peace that passes all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I also prayed that the Lord will equip you with wisdom for your work. God promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask of God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. He sees your diligence and your humility, and He is able to make you competent for every good work He has called you to do. Remember that the Lord said to Moses, who also felt inadequate in speech, that He is the one who made the mouth and He will help you speak and teach you what to say. Your value and your effectiveness do not depend on perfect fluency, but on your faithfulness and on Christ working through you.

We asked God to give you clarity and confidence as you speak English, to calm your anxiety about making mistakes, and to help you communicate with grace and understanding at work. He understands every language and every heart, and He can give you the words you need in each moment. As you continue to use the gifts He has given you, He will strengthen you and grow your skill.

May the Lord establish the work of your hands, grant you favor with those around you, protect you from harm, and fill you with His peace as you trust Him day by day. Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to equip you for it.

I have prayed for you and thank you for sharing honestly about what you are carrying. God sees the anxiety you feel at work and the pressure you put on yourself to speak perfectly, and He cares about both your assignment and your peace.

Scripture says wisdom is the principal thing, and to get wisdom and with all your getting to get understanding. The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence and trust in Him. Wisdom is spoken of as a person calling out in the streets and at the gates, inviting everyone to come and receive. She has prepared a table and invites all to partake. That invitation is for you. Wisdom is better than rubies and nothing you desire can compare to it, and God invites you to ask Him for it freely.

There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom knows how to use what you know in the right way at the right time. At work you need more than information, you need judgment, prudence and understanding to apply what you know well. The Bible says if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously without finding fault. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He is made unto us wisdom. True wisdom does not come from striving or from the wisdom of this world which leads to strife and anxiety, but from above. The wisdom from above is pure, peaceable and gentle, and it produces a quiet steadiness in the life of the one who receives it. The Spirit of the Lord is the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, and He is able to equip you supernaturally for the practical duties God has assigned to you, just as men filled with the Spirit and wisdom were chosen to faithfully handle everyday responsibilities so that the work of God could go forward.

Please do not be ashamed that English is your second language. In the beginning the whole earth shared one language, and God Himself divided languages and formed the language families of the world. No one language is more spiritual or more valued by Him than another, and many cultures considered simple by the world have highly complex languages. English itself has borrowed much from other tongues. The Lord who created language hears your heart before your grammar, and He is not measuring your worth by fluency. He can give you clarity, help you find the right words in the moment, and give you favor with those who hear you. People often value perfect speech, but God values a heart that trusts Him and seeks to speak truthfully and graciously.

For the intrusive thoughts and the feeling that you do not have what it takes, remember that God promises protection and peace to those who look to Him. He is your keeper and your covering. When anxious thoughts come, bring them to Him and ask Him to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. The wisdom that comes from God brings peace rather than turmoil, and His peace can guard your heart and mind.

I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus I ask that You cover this dear one with Your favor and protection. Quiet intrusive and anxious thoughts and guard this mind with Your peace. You have assigned work to do, and I ask that You equip supernaturally for it. Pour out Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding and knowledge. Give clarity of thought and grace to speak with fluency and understanding beyond natural ability, removing barriers and giving confidence.
