We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, knowing that He is your Provider, your Shepherd, and the One who orders your steps. Your heart’s cry for a job that allows you to balance work, school, and the responsibility of aiding your mother is heard by Him who knows your needs before you even ask. The Word assures us in **Matthew 6:31-33**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* We pray that the Lord will open doors no man can shut, granting you favor with employers who will offer flexibility, fair wages, and an environment where you can glorify Him through your diligence. May He also grant you wisdom to steward your time well, remembering that **"unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"** (**Psalm 127:1**). Trust in His timing, for He is never late.
Your desire to draw nearer to God is beautiful and aligns with His heart for you. **James 4:8** declares, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* We pray that the Holy Spirit will quicken your spirit to recognize His voice above all others—whether through His Word, the counsel of godly believers, or that still, small voice that whispers truth to your heart. Spend time in Scripture daily, for it is a lamp to your feet (**Psalm 119:105**), and pray without ceasing (**1 Thessalonians 5:17**). The Lord longs to commune with you; be still and know that He is God (**Psalm 46:10**).
Regarding your father, we approach this with soberness and discernment. The request to soften or harden his heart as a revelation of his deeds is weighty, and we must align this with Scripture. The Lord is the one who hardens and softens hearts (**Exodus 4:21, Proverbs 21:1**), but we must also examine our own motives. **Matthew 7:1-5** reminds us to first remove the plank from our own eye before addressing the speck in another’s. Are there areas in your heart that need surrender or forgiveness toward your father? The Lord calls us to honor our parents (**Ephesians 6:2**), even when it is difficult, and to trust Him with justice and vindication (**Romans 12:19**). We pray that if there is unconfessed bitterness or resentment in your heart, the Holy Spirit will convict and cleanse you. If your father’s actions are harmful or unrepentant, we pray for godly wisdom to set boundaries that honor Christ while still extending grace. May the Lord reveal truth in His timing, whether through conviction in your father’s heart or through clear direction for you on how to proceed. Remember, vengeance belongs to the Lord (**Deuteronomy 32:35**), but mercy triumphs over judgment (**James 2:13**).
Lastly, we notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness to approach the throne of grace (**Hebrews 4:16**).

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious child of Yours before Your throne, asking that You meet every need according to the riches of Your glory in Christ Jesus. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors of employment that align with this servant’s schedule and responsibilities, granting favor and wisdom to balance work, school, and care for their mother. May they walk in diligence and integrity, reflecting Your character in all they do.
Draw them deeper into Your presence, Lord. Tune their ears to hear Your voice above the noise of the world. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Convict them of any unforgiveness or bitterness, and fill them with Your love and grace—even toward their father. Soften his heart if it aligns with Your will, or reveal what must be known so that Your servant may walk in wisdom and righteousness. Guard their heart from anger or despair, and let them trust You with justice and vindication.
If this beloved one has not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see His love displayed on the cross, and let them turn from sin to follow Him wholeheartedly. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
